Posting parses of % dmg done alone is really pointless.
They have sense only when we can see avg melee/ws/ja dmg.
Posting avg dmg alone is fine on the other hand because you can somehow compare it to other jobs if you know buffs in both cases.

All those WARs in your party are very poor tbh. Blu is powerful but to give you a picture

My parse from Qilin

Avg ukko on this qilin was one of the lowest I had.

Can you post used items from parse?

Looks like this WAR was using a lot of wings instead of just melee.

Have been an advocate of BLU being a phenomenal melee DD for a while now, glad to see that at least a couple of people agree.

Been looking through the blu thread on BG, remember seeing a nice xml there.. Do you have a link\quick way to find it?
Mine is such a mess >_<

Should also try T6 sometime, may get very different result on T6s since T6 has high def. But gonna face more ppl complaining about putting BLU in DD pt if it's on T6 ;/

That's over the course of several Qilins. The gap isn't quite as large as you seem to be implying.

Some more of my CDC averages:

Pil

Another Qilin

One more Qilin, this one I have no buffs aside from my own

As for T6, as long as I have melee buffs, my damage does drop off, but so does everyone else's. BLU doesn't suffer more than anyone else.

Here's how it went down in those parses above.

These are fight 1, 2, and 4. I derped and forgot to record fight 3.

Also fun fact, Stona is hard.

So what buff did you get on 4k+ ? I've only gotten 3k+ with no outside buff, just like you had on last one.

How? Wouldn't high def mob benefit 2h DD more?

I love this thread.

I hate being always stuck in the mage party, it sucks so bad.

I got lol'd at one time for showing up /War on a Kaggen, it was really annoying.

What I usually do is set one element when it's called (don't tell anybody but if it's a super fast party only when its HQ, but shhhhh), since being the only blue even in a totally gimped situation you'll still only have a 50/50 chance of having the right spells set.
In the "unfortunate" situation of there being 2 Blues, I'm stuck with the total gimpness and we split spells for covering them all...

Edit: Yes, 2 BLUs happens for some reason sometimes.

Crits are a static pDIF increase, so they increase your average pDIF by a relatively larger amount as enemy level and defense increase. BLU's insane critrate with CDC ensures that pDIF stays decently high, while other DDs tend to have relatively low critrate aside from MNK (with Impetus, not a 2h DD) and NIN (Innin, though only part of the time since the NM is likely spinning. Also not a 2h DD). SAM may scale decently with Shoha but lack of crits still enforces a pretty hard limit on output.

As an aside, if you're like me and have terrible luck with getting Athos's Boots... unless you know it's going to be staggered for extended periods of time you'll save yourself a lot of hassle and probably have better output if you just nuke.

Over the past few years BLU has always been the job in which I took the most pride.

You clung to the job when it was horribly sub-par and now that it's actually decent, nobody will take you seriously. Pointing people toward simple math should change the mind of anyone worth convincing, unless of course you're trying to stick with the "old ways" of Blue Mage.

How was blue subpar back at 75? Or back whenever you're talking about?

Even at 75 there wasn't a job that was hard to outparse it was just certain people well accomplished on endgame equip and knew what they were doing.

Did someone have a good nuking set to go by? For B.Rex in particular and for various spells(read: not just BA Whiskers)

For some of the parses shown do you get cor/brd buffs or is that consistent damage in the backburner party(read: no real buffs)?

All I could figure was that it was 8 hits with every hit landing and critting. A very rare occurrence, although I've had it happen before on Pil and Akvan.

Also for that nuking set, Diamond Rings with appropriate augments are superior to icesoul.

Next time I will be at WAR i will leaders to put BLU in the same party. Our BLU is actually one of the best BLU (in term of aggressive DDing) I know and he has almost perfect gear (missing athos legs).

I think what You ignoring (melee damage) is what actually make WAR parsing much better than BLU. We will see tho.

Are worse than stats+ ring for all relevant BLU nukes.

Strendu ring is very close and its probably worth using as inventory saver.

BLU white damage is close to or superior to WAR white damage. "Much better" would require a BLU that doesn't know what they're doing.

DW, Store TP, and Triple Attack with /WAR, yes. You have enough slots for one full elemental proc set and half of another if not for two full sets depending on which elements are up.
