What annoyed me was, you said "I could write books about it", yet, up until that point, you couldn't even string a sentence together, just asking a GM to ask his mate what happened.

Not sure about your workplace, but generally senior GMs (or managers) don't sit on the same table with all the lesser GMs (or regular employees).
