IF your not producing maximum dmg with every opportunity your doing it wrong.... I applaud you for taking your mnk to the extremities and putting forth the effort to produce dmg where others fail at doing so. Need more people like you on our server for sure. *** that, in the game. Kudos.

I think, the main reason why people say Chi Blast is bad, is because 1)You need a full new set of gear to make it effective, 2)You have to /WHM or /SMN to get the best MND potential, and be Elvaan, and 3)You'd do a lot more damage through normal melee, provided you can melee your target.

If you can't, your options are to Chi Blast (of course), or switch to a job like BLM or SCH that can do damage like that every 20 seconds, rather than 3 minutes.

And no, I'm not opposed to MNK at all. I even have fun Chi Blasting when/if I get the chance, but it's rarely the best option for any situation.

Not my best chi blast but the best I've SS'd. I've just read from a few forums how some MNKs are not sure if chi blast is good EG and this is a pic of me duo'ing with a BRD and how fun it can be.

Chi blast is nice for the whole instant ranged dmg thing and ya know not really resist problems. So nice solo kite... but now with cor being able to do that too without having to boost all the time lol
