This was done with Protect IV, Defender, Cocoon, Tavnazian Taco, SV Minne III&IV.

I could have gone higher with SV Minne I&II, Shining Ruby, Glittering Ruby (VIT), some minor DEF Earrings, and a Fine Gorget.

For the record: I was a main tank as WAR/BLU at this level and had about 450 DEF when tanking in an experience points party setting. Yuhtunga Mandragoras were hitting for about 5-6 damage average.
