The SH+1 only beats Alcide in terms of pure evasion. When you consider subtle blow and added crit damage the Alcide's Harness easily surpasses SH in terms of utility post abyssea/atma. You also have to take into account the possibility of HQ making Alcide's even more attractive...
People who were on to this before the price jumped from 10k to 1M easily covered any losses from soaking up overpriced horns. People who weren't are bitter.
Then it becomes a matter of will I craft the 'arguably the best' solo body piece or the 'without a doubt' version.
It's not necessarily about greed, more of the impatience of the crafters. People can put these up for ridiculous amounts, but the problem is that crafters actually buy them.
Basic school economics? Look into business models. The objective is to maximize profit, so waiting for these to get kicked back to the people putting them up so they will not overcharge is a viable strategy, but then again, people in this game don't understand logic.
If crafters are being impatient about the horn getting sent back, maybe they should think about the fact that the harness is getting sent back to them because people aren't willing to pay over a million for a body piece that is pretty much on the same level of a SH+1.
