Just to compare this amount with other items:

BST AF boots give +10%
AF+1 boots 11%
AF2 and AF2+1 Boots 20%

a very nice DEF based shield for BST, teh +10 pet DEF is nice. Just wish they would add Pet Attack Bonus for Job trait and some pet DEF on AF and Relic, anyways a good shield

These drop from Pallas[S] in Vunkerl Inlet [S].

The NM can be tough, but 6-8 Bsts (you can toss a Smn or 2 in for good measure) take it down nice and easy. Need 3 Bsts to kite the NM's 3 Tiger pets.

As opposed to taking a whole party/alliance down there to kill the placeholders, a Bst duo or trio can kill the PHs quite effortlessly, while getting some exp/merits too.

All in all, fantastic shield. Get one!

Great Shield for reward if you absolutely have to be without Dual Wield.

However, If you're able to Dual wield, and you're not in a situation to keep up TP, 2 Zoraal Ja's axes are infinitely better.

they each give 10% Reward and do stack for +20%.

Now, i mention not needing TP, cause it might be better to idle in say, Glyph Axe for your pets Regain, and macro in the Axes for reward.

However, up to the BST! I personally don't feel 3% Extra HP with reward is worth a price tag of well over 1mil gil, but some people might.

Just know, its not the "best period", its the "Best for situations where you can't Dual Wield and need TP".

So it has situations, But you might be better off Camping it, with the new BST jugs and level 85 he's easier to deal with.

altho the axe with reward is better for a reward build
this shield is awesome for those nm's you can't attack for what ever reason Bakka for example
still i got mine today solo with a dipper and i used my 2 hour for fun

no point paying 600k asking price when it is a easy solo
any one with a reward build of any kind will fine this a cake walk NM ........... Happy Hunting
