Awsome pair of gloves for DRG solo since you are most of the time under 75% of hp and it gives 36 defense and +8 attack most of the time for ohe job its not that useful since you can get a lot better for party and suck but for DRG solo its a must
Def became active for me at 100% HP as BRD with staff equiped but no Att. I equiped a sword and got the +DEF & +ATT (both at 100% HP) Not tested as other jobs.
Afiu : u must have item that convert hp to mp. if u got a large amount of conversion, over than 25 percent of ur hp, than it must be active all the time.
