If you're a PLD and have the desire to ever wear these, kill yourself. If you can't use your shield for whatever reason, the lolVIT and enmity aren't worth the inventory space.

Even as a /NIN, wearing gallant feet over these is vital. With Shield Mastery negating the possibility of getting interrupted, a PLD/NIN can cast Utsusemi: Ichi and block an attack and get Ichi off. So the +10 shield does serve a purpose for PLD/NIN.
