Ebon Armour
Odin.Blazza said: I have no idea what you just said, but read underneath the table in my OP Well the crafting npc doesn't give a ***about your sub crafts, he'll reccommend the based on the main craft only. The fact that we have the three full non exclusive sets with recipes, and then the whole 9 exclusive sets WITHOUT recipes suggests that we've found everything we're going to find until synergy is released. ie: no goldsmithing for you!
Odin.Blazza said: ie: no goldsmithing for you! I'm wondering if there's a way to craft Ebur/Furia Frock/Breastplate/Harness yet. They're not Ex, just like the Ebon Frock/Breastplate/Harness.
Furia Pigment, Ebur Pigment. Look at the description, I'm guessing not.
There's also an Ebon Pigment though.
Pandemonium.Nususu said: There's also an Ebon Pigment though. Maybe we'll be able to change the color of the armor whenever we want via synergy. !WARNING! Philosophisationing incoming !WARNING!
Pandemonium.Nususu said: There's also an Ebon Pigment though. For instance, if I have two Erlking's Blades, I can't choose which one goes in my main hand with a macro, it will always pick the same one first, but it might not be the one I want. So depending on what the augments will be, it's quite possible that you may want two of the same piece, with different augments for different situations. Evolith Augments: BG said:
This list was apparently .dat mined by someone on BG, so I really can't attribute to the accuracy of it. On top of that we don't know what is going to after the colon. (that's a : symbol btw) But, I can foresee a BLM for instance, wanting this, with Ice Elemental magic: [Awesome stat], Casting time -%d%% (whatever that means), and Vs. amorphs: [Another awesome stat] (because they love blowing up flans). But then they may also want the exact same piece for thunder. So Cue Ebur Coat, or Furia Coat. As for the Ebon Pigment, since all of this gear seems to start out as Ebon anyway, I can see this being the least worthwhile of the three, but after you've changed it from Ebon to Ebur or Furia, the Ebon pigment will be used to change it back. Thanks, that was very interesting, and makes a lot of sense to me.

Get used to it if you're a goldsmith is all i can say, we haven't for real gotten ***since like star/crimson/celestial/harmonius earring were introduced i think? and even at that they were: yeah great a bunch of mad expensive synths that no one for real cares to buy considering triumph/communion ears are more affordable... New information as of the update. I was asking for recipes and they gave me recipes to take the job specific ebon armors back to the three base armors. Aptants primus, fyrst and arkhe are use to synergize the job specific armor back to the base. That leaves the other nine aptants to synergize from baseto job specific.
I compiled a list of the aptants and what I thought they'd be used for. Aptant Of Primus burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "source." -revert to base Aptant Of Aecus burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "equality." -ebon coat blm Aptant Of Durus burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "durable." -ebon haubert pld Aptant Of Bellum burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "war." -cuirass war/drk Aptant Of Arkhe burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "beginning." -revert to base Aptant Of Tachus burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "quick." -ebon vest thf/nin/dnc Aptant Of Pera burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "far." -ebon jerkin rng/cor Aptant Of Ishis burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "strength." -ebon mail bst/drg Aptant Of Fyrst burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "first." -revert to base Aptant Of Geoc burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "help." -ebon talar brd/blu/rdm Aptant Of Haelan burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "cure." -ebon bliaut whm/smn Aptant Of Secan burnished metallic token bearing an ancient glyph for "attack." -shikkoku Togo sam/mnk These are my guesses based on the descriptions of the aptants and the jobs on the armors. That's kinda weird, I don't get why they wouldn't just consolidate those three "return" aptants into one, but perhaps make them drop off more NMs.
Anyway, it's been a massively hectic few days, but I now have pretty constant access to pretty shitty internet, so hopefully I can do some research on all this and compile all the new information/recipes into the original post. It could well be that to make the ex ebon armour you need a high synergy skill, which means we may not see these recipes for a little while yet. Anyway, watch this space. I asked the synergy engineer for recipes and he gave me these recipes.
http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/?topic_id=6403#320890 it appears that the craft skills involved in the reversal synergy of the items are lower than required in the synthesis craft of the base items. Got this info off of BG. Seems like for the upgraded ebon piece all u need is base piece and a specific Aptan. So... here is the list they had...
mnk/pup/nin set is Aptant:Ishis < Think was supposed to be mnk/sam/pup whm/smn set is Aptant: Haelan Rdm/brd/blu set is Aptant: Geoc Blm/Sch set is Aptant: Secan War/drk set is Aptant: Bellum rng/cor set is Aptant: Pera Bst/drg set is Aptant: Aecus PLD one is Aptant: Durus This leaves out just 1 gear set... Thf/nin/dnc and considering fryst, primus, and arkhe are used to "desynth" into its base state, is probably Aptant: Tachus. Now all that is unkown is if/how many evolith spots can be used for it. Happy hunting~! But, imagine socketing an Igqira Weskit with Mag. Acc. vs. Amorphs +18. >.> |
