I performed this test base on a discussion of Dia not applying at full strength on unity mobs. This specific mob was called out in the discussion. I have not tested other unity monsters to determine if this is common between all UNMs. I would like to warn readers that while there is actual numbers here you can use, the purpose of this post was to cover my own speculations on the effects of dia and my speculations do have some "I made the numbers work", but I disclose that below.

First I attempted to find Centurio XX-I's defense. I utilized ranged attacks, increasing in attack until they stabilized (10 shots landing and not critical)in the 0.9-1.1 PDIF scale. The 0.9 value I determined was 926 attack. This results in a defensive value of ~1028.
I performed the test in the same manner with dia, dia 2, and dia 3. The values attack values were 875, 846, and 815 attack at the 0.9 pdif value. Approximate Defensive values for the would be 967, 936, and 906.

Normal expected valued for defense from 1028 with dia would be:
1028
923 (dia)
871 (dia2)
819 (dia3)

As you can see, these don't match. So I then calculated what values would be if there is a 50% resistance to defense down effects. (this was a theory posed from testing done by long horn here. https://x.com/long_horned/status/1339104052890673152 )
That would put the defense values at:
1028
975 (Dia)
949 (Dia2)
923 (Dia3)

Again, while closer, these numbers do not line up well enough for me.

I speculated Centurio has a native defense bonus. I considered bonus levels between 20 and 100%. Values between 65-75% seemed to be near my own values. This is the part I warned about in the forward where "I made the numbers work". For this example, I assume Centurio XX-I has a native defense bonus of 70%. I will place my speculated defensive values by the final defense value inside parenthesis.

No debuff: 606 * 1740/1024 = 1029 (1028)
Dia: 606 * (1740-104)/1024 = 968 (967)
Dia2: 606 * (1740-156)/1024 = 937 (936)
Dia3: 606 * (1740-208)/1024 = 906 (906)

Therefore; I purpose that this specific UNM does not have a resistance to defense down from Dia effects but rather a native defense bonus. I speculate that the reason for this at the time was to prevent players from being able to reach attack cap easily with defense down effects.

--EDIT, while its very possible the defense bonus theory is valid, after testing some UNMs of different level and released later that theory doesn't hold true for all UNMs. I'll leave the data above for reference if anyone would like to add data in the future it is welcome.

(note: I calculated Centurio's VIT at 220. At 336STR I was caping Fstr2, using exalted bow.)

I also wonder if this applies to attack down, magic defense down, magic attack down, impact

If they just have universal -70% to all stat down

Impact is a snapshot of current stats, so i do not believe it would be impacted. Normally Magic attack down or Magic Defense down's are static values also, so I doubt that would apply. However; since attack down is percentage based it may apply if they have an attack buff similar to the defensive buff.

They're just really hard to get decent magic damage on unless they're specifically weak to something (without gambit rayke)
