Closer Views Of Tavnazia From Lufais Meadows

If you goto Blueblade Fell on the clifftop you can see a distant view of the ruins of Tavnazia, decided to take some closer views of it in model viewer.

I made a mod with HD textures of the buildings as shown above (and only those, everything else is the same), if you go there and look out at the buildings you can see them with more realistic textures. Limited by distance obviously, but if you have a clear day you can still see the difference.

Closer look at Crag of Dem you can see from Skyrend in Grauberg [S].

Still find it the biggest oversight in the game. We should be able to go to the original Tavnazia in the past. Sure, we won't be able to change the outcome, but to be able to see what it was like would add so much weight to the opening scene when Aldo loses his sister.

Maybe they will take us there with the 20th.

You probably know this but from the original cut-scene, his sister survived and is still in modern day Vana'diel. She lives in Selbina at the weavers guild.

She lost her parents and most of her memory when she was younger (hence the name change), she has a child named aldo also.

Wow, I did not know that. Or I did, but it's been years and I forgot. Would be awesome to see original Tav, but making original zones at this point sounds like it would be too much work for them.

The model for the flying creatures that you can see from the lookout point and a few other spots in the zone are loaded and unloaded conveniently out of sight behind the rocks on the back side. I thought it would have been a really cool spot for an easter egg.

Thanks for this, because I completely forgot all of it. It has been a long time since I experienced much of the story of FFXI, and I think it's time for me to revisit some of it.

God I still love that intro video. The sense of adventure it brings. The attack. The orcish siege weapons. The behemoths. The tarus simul-casting nukes.

It does a great job setting the stage for the game.

And Memory of the Stone is one of my favourite songs ever. For a game designed to bridge gaming platforms and languages with region-free, cross-play servers and a translation feature, I can't think of a better language for the lyrics to be sung in than a language created to bridge the gaps between languages. Especially with lyrics like
