Happy travels! I will hold down the fort for you for another few months.

Well I'm sort of back.

At this point I'm working on Monstrosity because frankly I need to chill out and stay away from people for a while.

My progress from before still stands, of course... but now I have finished all plantoids to 99 and am starting in on beasts with rabbit up to 78 for now.

I did get that silver flag from begging for thumbs up for a while haha. Maybe I'll have to beg some more to get it to turn gold.

Since the last update...
- 1013/1075 Titles
- ROE 1071/1071.
- Got a shield to stage 2 just to unlock those ROE but still need to complete them.
- Adventuring Fellow to 99
- Quests 1072/1119

If I complete the 4 crafting shield ROE, drop the shield, level a new craft, and start a new shield, will I lose the original 4 ROE? Or can you technically have more than 1075 ROE completed if you rotate all the shields to stage 2?

It probably is Yilbegan holding me back from Mastery Rank 8. It's the 'final' NM of content. 0/14ish atm.

Will finish Lu Shang quest in a few days for title 1014. Would be nice, but unlikely.

What are the quests you have remaining? Anything of note or with main story characters involved? Would be interesting if a specific quest is meaningful in rank points

I would be surprised if there were specific objectives like that.

The primary issue is taking their word for it. Anyone can say they've done all this stuff, but they haven't.

You checked after zoning, right? It doesn't update until you zone.

I don't have nearly that many titles (believe I'm missing around 250 of them) but I do have Lu Shang's (but not Yilbegan) and I'm also still rank 7. Notably, I am 100% on quests.

See now that makes sense. Quests are worth x and (the objective that gets a title) are worth x

You get people who don't do quests cause they give nothing and just waste time. Until they started counting toward these magic invisible ranks.

Always wanted someone to just do quests purposely avoiding title granting quests to prove they counted but it's an unreasonable ask.

Happy to hop on Discord and walk around to the title NPCs to 'verify' (lol) that I'm not trying to gain some clout compared to the (practically) unseeable mastery rank that has no bearing on anything, at all.

I have the GP items for 3 crafts and another 3 already have the GP - just need to finish 1075 RoE with shield, drop it, and see if that takes away the 4 crafting RoE.

I wanna say Averith killed Sandworm and Lambton Worm after hitting rank 8...but so far every single person who hit rank 8 has killed Yilbegan, so...I'd bet on Yilbegan too.

If you're putting off doing the "Trial-Size Trial by ___" quests, they're super easy now with pet food and Siren.

Jeuno doesn't have any uncompletable quests. AFAIK the only uncompletable quests currently are Ad Infinitum (Crystal War) and A Moonlight Requite (Abyssea). 146 is the number of quests in the Completed Quests list for Jeuno.

Knocked out all the mini-trial quests - what a joke with Siren! Two more titles this week while the holidays continue on. I wonder how many titles I can get while shouting for Yilbegan pops.

I'd say it definitely wasn't intended, but they probably forgot those trial-size fights even existed when implementing Siren.

They unbalanced those fights in a couple of ways, but now it's super easy to level any job (including an avatarless SMN) to 99 and kill the original fights, so who really cares?

Sub-99 levels exist only as a technicality at this point and all level capped content is unbalanced in some way.

So....

Apparently Monstrosity MUST count for something because I don't know when between yesterday and today, but I hit Rank 8.

The only thing I've done really is to level up Sheep to 99 and Ram to 86, and when Ram was 83 I noticed that my rank had changed.

Many Odyssey titles
currently on the final mission in chapter 9 of Voracious Resurgence

Yes, I have killed Yilbegan. Click my Guildwork profile if you want my mostly-updated title list (you'll have to put in a friend request though due to cyberstalking issues I have had in the past.)

All plantoid species are 99, I'm about 1/3 of the way through beasts with rabbit, tiger, sheep, ram at 99 and now manticore at 53. beetle and bee are 30 as well as Astolian slime and spriggan. All other species I could possibly have unlocked are unlocked but still 1, and I have purchased all available instincts.

Speaking to Ake or Ome at the Odyssean Passage will reward players with an Ake-Ome Spirit that lets them possess a New Year Mandragora in Monstrosity.

Doesn't exist according to SE, but they don't know ***about the game so who knows

As always, the most exciting part of the patch notes these days are "added new titles", bringing us to a whopping 1077 accessible titles.

In other (less) exciting news, I dropped my crafting shield and watched my RoEs drop back down to 1071. There goes the dream of taking each shield to stage 2 for more than 1075 RoE. Dreams dashed.

And with the new crafting skill up campaign and four crafts worth of GP saved for the final two titles, I quickly took goldsmithing up to get the last two titles and the emblem. 4 stalls so far!

What is the issue with Yilbegan? Is it that he doesnt agro? If so I feel like this has been this way for years? Will SE not acknowledge its bugged?
