I tried Flaming Crush + Volt Strike, Hysteric Assault + Flaming Crush, and a few other combos. The second always seemed to be minimal compared to the first. Should be noted my SMNs are not amazingly geared, but the damage drop off was so significant and so consistent I think it is unlikely it can be overcome. For science did AFAC Hysteric Assault and AFAC Flaming Crush, seemed like the damage resistance stayed high for the duration of AFAC (BPing on cooldown) so it seems like it gained the buff every time it was hit by a BP. It was not a decreasing amount of damage either, first hit was solid, second to N hits were all ~the same reduced damage. This was with a BoG+Ecliptic Frailty and Malaise up. Talking about scherzo+migawari
Yesterday mireu flailed me for 2k dmg with a -80% pdt set. If i had scherzo and EA, would this dmg reduce to less than 500? Offline

Been consistent in killing it without a tank.. setup MNK COR BRD RDM GEO WHM..
Schezro and RDM/BLM fully buffed sleepaga and zerg the adds.. around 5-7 mins Do you need Elemental Seal to reliably land Sleepga on the first cast, or can it be done with top line gear without?

Elemental Seal.. Indi-focus.. Tropical... 1 or 2 might get resist and I just sleepga again.
One thing to note, when 2 mobs left, I saboteur frazzle3 sleep2 and addle2 and easily burn through them. If I don't fully debuff the last mobs, I will get one shot. Mnk helps alot with Mantra honestly, and it takes about 5 mins to kill.. Definitely an easy month. eeternal said: » Elemental Seal.. Indi-focus.. I don't silence at all.. if I do, it happens to do some nasty move, I don't recall the name and I haven't done enough testing to prove it, so I addle2 and zerg it, literally the mobs are handicapped with addle2, they barely get one spell

yeah even rdm .. black halo still does great damage without dual wield.. temper2 helps

tl;dr:
Watching Kaggra's RDM solo I noticed he avoids any Mijin in either of his videos on Normal and Difficult. Unsure if those modes can Mijin but I would assume at least Difficult can. One of the translations I did through screenshot on mobile (youtube > Import to Google Translate) said something about less than 3% HP. So, maybe they don't Mijin above that HP threshold which is why he was able to kill all without Mijin. I cannot read Japanese and Google Translate didn't help much but it seems he may be saying to place the Mamool in melee mode and keep it that way throughout the fight. He kills the first mob as a Melee. Then keeps the remaining mobs in Mage mode until the very end and silences them at low HP. I assume this is to avoid them strengthening if continually killed in the same mode. That way they always start in the weaker mode (Mage). I'll add to OP but as Wotasu and Robear mentioned on first page Hurl Anathema is single target caused by Silencing. This can be blocked by shadows so RDM/NIN can be unaffected by this move as long as a badly timed AOE doesn't go off. EDIT: Mrgrim stated on the first page that no Mamool Mijin'd when silence was applied after Manafont was used. Let's verify. That could also play into why Kaggra waited until low health to switch modes. My party last night was killing them after being silenced and the rest of the mamools were not strengthened. They did continue to Mijin though.. Bard was able to silence after multiple attempts, rdm easily silences.

Is it specifically a SMN-only nerf, or the same "repeated WS/TP Move" nerf that a bunch of enemies have now?

There is no objective difference between SMN conduiting shits for 30 secs or MNKs skillchaining ***for 50k~99k without any time restraint while wearing Malignance set.
