If we break down reality TV even further we will find. The people that love reality TV haven't been in touch with reality in a long time. Their entire world is a fantasy. I think it's more that their lives are boring and mundane and "Reality TV" gives them an emotional high they crave. Our world is one of over-stimulation and Reality TV is the consequence.
