Dummies to test ws sets and spells set damage?
My wife just asked me why we don't have this 2 days ago and I had no answer since it would be so useful. Hopefully it's anything useful.

Hopefully it's anything useful. I've also been telling my friends that we need a mog garden test dummy or punching bag that we can engage and test our equipment on, basically an in game damage simulator that we can set different stats of the enemy and even show us our dps or other statistics.
Regardless of what this Cardian thing is, I'm glad there are others that have also had similar ideas as well so maybe we can will it into life someday 20 years later, we finallyp have a controlled environment to perfom tests

Look out windower users! ;) If this will actually be test dummy, I am sad that we must experiment on cardians and not tarutarus.
Prediction.. It will have DT -99% and 100HP regen. So you will be only able to test macro on it, but no dps or damage check.
If you trade a full set of cardian cards to it (including bc only cards), it unlocks the next master trial with a fight against every cardian at once with a giant Apururu controlling them all as the final final boss of the game
She drops a billion Gil, a pickling stone, a rarab tail, and a lockstyle scythe that's ajido-marujido as the blade end strapped to all of the star onion brigade standing on each other's shoulders for the handle Felgarr said: » I know I'm supposed to temper my expectations because can be very underwhelming ...but if it is a test dummy, I would like to see it have a death animation and perhaps re-construct itself? :D Or maybe this is just a button that validates macro commands? The gil is a new drop rate tier, about a tenth as frequent as pulse weapons. A training dummy we could manipulate would be incredible.
Let us set their evasion, defense, m.def, etc. Would be nice to show up to an event and know exactly what I need to wear/eat to maximize effective. ....but I dream.... ![]() Quote: The first Vana'Bout of 2025 is scheduled to drop in mid-February. In order to make the content even more enjoyable for you, we've made some adjustments to the Records of Eminence objective and also included a campaign in with the overall rewards that many of you were asking for. We think you'll really enjoy this update and hope to see all of you participate! Exemplar bonus campaign for winning confirmed more cornelia one time dealer

I had two rainbow mog pells and chose the camera; hard choice but it's a shame these cool models are locked behind a paywall still. Looks like it'll be a slow work up toward lv119 and higher Beseiged if the next update is Lv99 > Lv104, but at least we'll get to see how the max accolades per fight will (hopefully) be increased with higher levels. Interested what new items/equipment they might add with each step as well.
Very nice the Cardians actually ARE test dummies, I doubt it's anything more than an easy access fortification wall but it would be nice if we could set it's stats or see various parameters/stats but I can't see that happening now since it seems to be in a public area in the 3 zones outside Jeuno. Vanabout please bring us back Cornelia! February line says "Add New Items". Not expecting anything huge, but what new items are these? I was thinking they might be related to Besieged level increase, maybe new rewards?
They add that most months, usually it's just a cosmetic item but it can be literally anything.
Did we just get training Dummies? Am I reading the patch notes correct?
I'm expecting these to have very minimal logic to them, but maybe they'll get stagger effect or some visual cues for things like PDL, enfeebles or to help us discern some additional battle mechanics?
Or maybe just an ROE to do 1M damage to the dummy? Lol I'd laugh if they had like 5,000 HP so you couldn't test a thing properly.
Apparently, the devs are done with their part on Echoes of Vana'diel. Curious to see how different the content productions between this year and 2024 will be.
It's no secret that I enjoy keeping up with the Master Trials. But the fact that in 2024, aside from the 2 MTs, all FFXI got was UI adjustments and Controller Config options, it makes our new HTBF, testing dummy, and new Besieged level (which isn't a lot of content) somehow look not awful... I suspect it’s because Dawntrail was taking up all of the resources in 2024.

Agreed that I also have the most difficulty with legs. I actually like Dhalmel Trousers too, though the recolor is not too different than the more feline looking Ocelot/Ta'lab Trouser version of the same model. Still interested to get them and might stick them in a western/cowboy-ish lockstyle build I've been tinkering with, started that to make something with the Vaquero hat. Denim Pants just aren't it for me on that one, they look like the worst mom jeans on a Mithra!
