I butt heads with Maletaru a lot here, but he's never been a "git gud scrub, figure your own ***out" kinda guy.

Yeah Male is definitely straight forward and shares. Asking sounds a lot quicker than trolling him unless you're just looking for a fight for the entertainment of it. His only real personal bias is towards BRD and honestly it's much better than most because at least it's backed up by the game blatantly supporting it.
