Anyone Using Ultrawide(21:9) Monitor?

Can easily check the aspect ratios avaialble in-game.
As far as I remember FFXI doesn't have 21:9 support (it has 16:9 and 16:10 tho!) so you're gonna see something like example #2, a stretched version of whatever aspect ratio you set.

You would probably be able to adjust the aspect ratio using the (Windower) Config plugin.

When you have an ultra-wide monitor with resolutions higher than 1920x1080, the Final Fantasy XI Config client will display an option for that resolution, and while you can set those resolutions the main problem comes from inside the actual game client.

When you go to adjust aspect ratio under Menu > Config > Misc 2 there is no higher aspect ratio than 16:9 which is ultimately the limiter.

Using Config plugin default settings.

I mostly play windowed depending on what I'm working on and nah no issues when playing full screen the times I do.

This is full screen resolution w/ default UI, you'll have to adjust it under Windower's settings to make it bigger/readable. Edges also start to stretch out since it wasn't meant to be displayed this way. The curve of the monitor does help however so it actually looks fine in person.

Just looking into this cause I really like the possibility of playing ultra-wide screen. What monitors and video cards are you guys using?

I just got a 21:9 screen today, and i don't see how you can get the good aspect ratio here?

Could you explain more about this, i tested to move all option on default and this changed nothing, resolution is good, but i'm still on a 16:9 enlarged ratio :/

i usually dont post anything but i read your chatlog on your FPS, set it to 1 (FrameRateDivisor) and love the game again.

yeah i see and allready set upper fps, now i try to find the way to reduce Pearl and player name size, i'm open to all tips ;)

Try out XI View or one of the other UI dat mods.

When i change the dat that only change the font and icon status icon skin, but font size stay big ><

i'm looking for split the font size for name by 2 ^^

Change text provide way to swap font, but, seems font for menu is the same for Name display
