I'm not sure how much of this is common knowledge by this point but now that this video has finally been encoded (took it long enough) we can share the method The Last of Us LS on Asura used and still use to pop both Perfidien and Plouton in the same Vagary run. The run itself, in the Duskbrood Gate, begins at 5:00, feel free to skip to this part. Audio has been removed but doubt you would have needed it anyway.

Here is a video recording of a run we did last night where we cleared both Perfidien and Plouton in the same run. Here we detail our method of popping both NM in the same run. The first two stages are the same for both NMs but the third stages are slightly different. We upgrade both KI at the same rate as we go, meaning that we do not rush all the way to Perfidien then restart for Plouton as it is much easier

Stage One: Elemental magic kills of the opposing element to which we are fighting while taking care TO NOT ONE SHOT. Doing this with the correct element (water on fire elementals, fire on ice elementals etc) enough times will upgrade both KIs. Either doing the wrong element (as I think we do at one stage in the video) or having a death will severely disrupt this part of the process.

Stage Two: We then do various skillchains between our two BLU and MB the proper elements off said skillchains to achieve the second upgrade for both KIs. You notice in the video that when we fight the Ice Elementals we have our two BLU perform Liquefaction and have our mages MB with LOW TIER fire spells to increase the number of MB's per skillchain. We're pretty certain that it is the NUMBER of MBs and not the DAMAGE they do that causes this upgrade for both KIs. As you can see in the video we run out of Ice Elementals so we move to the Earth Elementals and adjust the skillchain to Light and MB wind damage (see the pattern here?). We normally pop both NM before we have to go to the Wind Elementals but as I said earlier, we made a mistake earlier in the run but still pulled it off.
Important: At this stage we had our two BLU take their 119 swords off and use low level weapons to ensure that the Elementals we were fighting did not die before the skillchains went off. I, the GEO with the two BLU, went with them and put Indi-Precision and Geo-Torpor down so they could hit their targets reliably and to Dispel the Ice Spikes and Stoneskin off the Elementals.

Stage Three: At this stage the BLM do absolutely nothing. This stage involves multiple consecutive skillchains on a single elemental, the type and element of the SC doesn't matter. Three skillchains involving four weapon skills pops Perfidien and four skillchains involving five weapon skills pops Plouton. No particular job is needed, just two or more melee's that know how to link various WS's. As you can see from the video we did Red Lotus Blade -> Seraph Blade -> Red Lotus Blade -> Flat Blade to pop Perfidien and just added a Savage Blade at the end to pop Plouton immediately afterward.

Timestamps
5:00 = Run Begins
6:10 = Blue Mages equip low level swords
9:10 = Ashen Wings upgrades to Lv1
16:00 = False King upgrades to Lv1
16:50 = Stage two of Ashen Wings begins
21:10 = Ashen Wings upgrades to Lv2
21:40 = Stage two of False King begins
28:20 = False King upgrades to Lv2
Upgrade process for both KI is now completed.

31:00 = Skillchain begins to pop Perfidien.
31:20 = Perfidien pops.
38:00 = Perfidien defeated. No 1-hour abilities used. 15 minute time extension.

40:27 = Skillchain begins to pop Plouton. First skillchain fails due to uncapped Haste on the BLU.
40:50 = Plouton pops.
54:30 = Plouton defeated.

-----------------------
I understand that there may well be other methods for popping both of these NMs but in our experience this is the easiest method out there. Glad to share it with you all.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I've already had been following the various postings on BG but this is a nice, detailed and well-presented explanation on these 2 NMs.

Much appreciated.

If less people have access to the fight they can not even buy the items to upgrade their pieces. So there would be a very tiny market for the upgrade items.

Thank you Ruaumoko for posting one of our runs on here for others to watch, and take strat from. I hope the ones struggling can get this down, and get the wins as well.

Good luck to all those who have not cleared this yet, and might be struggling. I know it takes a few tries if not more to get it down but do not give up. We even had a few hiccups at the start in this video but still got the win. Practice makes perfect, it is a learning experience.

Off topic question, but I'm curious, how did you get your 2 windows side-by-side like that? Whenever I split them they come out one on top of the other.

To answer your question Wakmidget You can go to menu, config, windows, Shared, and first option is multi-window. Choose Horizontal, and not vertical option, and it puts it side by side. Hope that helps. :)

For anyone wondering why we bought so many people, it's because the content doesn't scale and why not help people get the win. Early on we told anyone who wasn't on TeamSpeak with us to sit back and do nothing. Our first clear was with about 12 people, and honestly I could see this being done by less if they had really good gear. Still this is obviously alliance focused content and we're not exclusive d!cks like so many other groups.

I'm back with some information and pointers with regards to the Plouton fight itself.

Plouton is very similar to Perfidien in that he takes less damage or outright absorbs magic damage of certain elements at different stages; possibly at every 10% of his HP. At different stages of the fight Plouton will gain a considerable DT-% effect which cannot be removed until a blue or red stagger is achieved. The method to removing this DT-% is simple but can go horribly wrong if your mages are not paying attention. Like Perfidien, Plouton can broadcast which element he is weak to so the back line mages need to be on the ball.
Watch for this message and react accordingly: "[ice/fire/thunder/wind/earth] is the key to victory!"

Doing enough damage with the correct element will trigger either a red or blue stagger and will remove his DT-% effect for a brief window. We found it best to have our mages only use T1 spells if we do not know what he is weak to at the time. That way, if a spell is curing him it is not curing him for much. If we know for certain what he is weak to we tell our mages to unload on him but slow down after 10 seconds in case he suddenly changes. In the runs we have done so far I typically announce the elemental weakness change (you can see this in the video numerous times) in case people missed it.

As Saevel said above we use Teamspeak to communicate with our alliance and this is very important in this event as mages either nuking the wrong element or interrupting skillchains with MBs when not necessary can spell the end of a run. Communication is everything.

Something to watch for is that Plouton has a very nasty TP attack called Bane of Tartarus he uses between 30% and 20% which is a full Dispel (including food) and puts a weakness effect on your front line for 30 seconds or so. At this stage the melee need to get the f-out-of-Dodge and retreat to the backline for a full rebuff leaving the tank to hold Plouton. Full support and healing should be given to the tank at this stage for obvious reasons. Once the weakness is off and all buffs re-applied to the melee they charge back in and continue to DPS.

Geomancers are very useful for this fight, especially when used in the melee party. Indi-Attunement and Geo-Vex cannot be dispelled and provide excellent defense for the melee and especially for the tank against many of Plouton's attacks. This combination is particularly effective for when Bane of Tartarus goes off as it gives your melee time to retreat.

Above all I'd like to say that a well-balanced alliance of people singing from the same hymn sheet can take this guy down. I'd like to reiterate and stress that communication is absolutely everything. If a person is not willing to listen, it's better to leave them at home.
