Long ago, before ffxi.allakhazam.com faded into irrelevancy, I started a thread for people to show off their town gear and discuss their favorite armor models. With the advent of the recent lockstyle update, I figured I'd bring it back.
It's now easier than ever to look as badass or ridiculous as you want. So, FFXIAH, what are you wearing? What are some of your favorite armor models in the game? What gear do you plan on acquiring just for the aesthetic? Post your screenshots, show it off!

Nothing beats the old Scorpion Harness + Subligar look, and the new Highwing Helm adds some extra flavor!
I typically only switch out the head and use Goblin Coif, but usually I just lock style whatever my idle set is. On DRG it is the armor in my profile right now.

This new lockstyle is awesome lol, can be some fun combinations as I'm still making mine.
I've been using the old lockstyle with Skadi, but now I kinda feel like since I have essentially no limitations that I should branch out.

Equip the weapon in the offhand slot in the equip set, but actually use it in your mainhand.
edit: tried dual wielding Vajras on COR, but I can only use one at a time, unless I were to make a second. My brother made two Almaces at 80 and 85 to deal with this.

gonna need a pic before i buy that one, to my knowledge same name different item id doesn't allow you to hold 2 of a rare marked item
Well, he's gotta get 50 more helms to finish the other one, I thought he was finished. I'll definitely show pictures if it works.
May reactivate tomorrow to try out the new stuff, being able to dual wield terpderps and wear marduk body on dnc seems pretty hot. This is pretty much what my lock style was already minus the jubbah.

Make an equipset consisting of the gear you want. You can use anything from any bag, the gear doesn't have to be in your inventory or wardrobe for it to work. After you finish the set, click on it and push Style Lock.
As you can see I'm wearing WHM, MNK, BRD, DRG, and THF gear.
Not sure if there is a macro syntax for locking a specific set.

only swapped body to krabat jacket and legs to calmecac subligar, but I love feathery double terpaderp dancer. Also have a version with ptica yagudohat.
Dancer needs a good (sword) offhand sword so I can lockstyle in my murgleis.

Did a challenge yesterday with a LS member: who has the most stupid outfit?
Cizin Helm, SCH Relic body and PUP emp pants got me a win on this.

I've had a lot of fun with this so far, but I wanted to ask if anyone still occasional blinks as if they were changing gear now?
It was fine before the update but now I'm getting this issue usually when I ws or disengage :/
