I'm not saying to simply spam heals on yourself, as BLU spells are better in that situation, as you said, but having bonus HP in your cure midcast will do wonders for enmity.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Souveran HP/Cure pot received pieces, but even adding multiple of those pieces doesn't bring that much more HP into the equation. I suppose the enmity would be more beneficial, then. Apologies for incorrect information.

So as an aside I have been trying minimize a max spell interupt set without going into merits and at least find uses of the gear into other sets as well as not using too many key slots that would otherwise have a greater effect not being locked on midcast. Is there any piece I might be overlooking in this matter. Goal is to hit at least -102%
ItemSet 339925 This sits at 109% with the path C on eschite adding 15% per piece. I've been contemplating making a similar set. I just don't know anymore, especially since PLD can reach in the 60% of fastcast. Would be nice possibly though when swarm tanking. What spells are you thinking about using this in? That's my bigger issue. Crusade is about all I can think of. Maybe put random pieces in slots that don't have divine or something, idk.
On a different note, what do you guys think about with swapping weapons? There is some good weps out there now for niche things and really contemplating swapping out Burt on some of this higher level content to take advantage of this stuff and just disabling swapping of the main hand on lower things where maybe my damage can matter a little more (lolol Paladin damage mattering). I mean we can get like 9% more FC from a sword for example and phalanx + etc... My only issue is maybe needing TP for chivalry, but I was thinking tanking in refresh gear while still hitting caps might solve this issue, especially in escha with refresh vorseals. Ragnarok.Martel

But it's not like I use it for every cast. I set variables to either cast the next spell using the SI set, or to cast all spells using it. Pretty much just turn it on when I'm surrounded by a horde, or not wearing a shield for some reason. The thing to keep in mind is, a gimp but successful cast, is better than no cast. Only other piece of gear I could recommend would be Souveran head+1 which has +20% SI. With merits and Souveran+1 you could hit 105% SI in 5 pieces of gear. Which lets you drop the earring and waist. Since you're trying to avoid merits, the best you could do would be 6 slots for 104%~105%(depending on if you kept belt or earring), and this requires souv+1 head. I have some questions regarding Fast Cast. There is quite a bit of confusion about it, I guess.
I know the cap has been raised from 50% to at least 80%. Is the equipment cap still 50%? I ask because some think it is, some think it isn't and others think Fast Cast has an equipment cap of 50% but things like "Cure spellcasting time" can go beyond it... Thank you for your help! Thank you for your help! Things like Cure spell casting time iirc will reduce the recast time by the full amount it says rather than half like fastcast. For example -8 spell casting time will reduce cure spell cast by 8 and the recast time by 8 rather than 4 like fastcast. I don't know what the recast cap is though. Maybe it is capped at 80% also. I just know at 80% FC which is the cap you will have a 40% recast which is reduced even further with haste etc...

Also, spell casting time- doesn't affect recast delays at all. Err wait, you said what I said. Well besides the - cure casting time, but the fast cast part.
Oh I see the issue, in my original comment I meant recast, not casting. And my apologies towards the -cure casting spell not reducing recast time. Guess I should look that stuff up my own instead of believing what people say sometimes. Ragnarok.Martel

BGwiki said: Reduces both spell casting time, and the recast time. Recast reduction is half of the cast time reduction, rounded down to the nearest whole percentage. Casting Time reduction cap is 80%. Thus, Fast Cast's maximum contribution to recast reduction is 40%. Percentages listed are the reduction in casting time (see table under References) I'm not really sure how you reached the conclusion you did from reading that. Edit: Ahh, typo induced misunderstanding. I see. Maybe not the best spot for this, but not sure they deserve their own thread.
How soloable are tier 1 Escha/Reisenjima NMs for PLD with trusts? I took a break through Ru'Aun till recently and wanna catch up on some gear. Even just getting a few Abjuration and Odyssean pieces would be nice. I'm well geared pre-escha so I'm mostly looking for some updates I can do on my own time outside the LS. Any must have Vagary items for PLD? Besides Tartarus of course. I got all the KI to trade in, but nothing seems to really stand out. Am I missing something or should I use it on another job that can benefit more. Can someone provide an updated -DT set as of the December update?

Yes, I like to idle in capped Cure Potency Received. So, this set offers that plus a great deal of accuracy, counter, absorb and annul magic damage, shield skill and enough -DT to cap most with vorseals (I have a separate -BT% set for some unique fights).

anyone have an updated Chant WS set that dont include lustratio +1? im not bill gates in game.
A more obtainable set would not need +1 Set, can take legs Nq, Back for -5dt from Esch Sky, Feet from SR with -2dt, Twilight neck, Def ring, Seekers -7dt ring, Belt from Turul, Odyssean hands with at least -2dt can get higher, Af2 119 body adds up to 50-dt Yes everything takes time, can just use Blue/purple gear from Skirmish lol its very ghetto but very easy to get with a few days worth of time and some luck on augments

I know it's a work in progress given I have been back for a month and was away since SoA came out. Here is what I have: ItemSet 340421 My Acro hands have Acc+20, Double Attack+3, Crit damage +2% My Acro feet have Acc+19, Att+19, Double Attack +1, Crit damage +2% My Yorium Legs (holding out for Acro legs but haven't seen any in 20+ runs in Yorcia) have STR+7, VIT+7, Attack+14, WS Acc +9 at the moment. Moonshade is TP Bonus, Attack+4 Usonmunku is Path B (Acc+10, Dex+7, Dmg+3) Any easy-to-upgrade choices? I found a DPS spreadsheet for PLD on BG and have been fooling around with different gear set options. Surprisingly to me, using elemental belt over the chiner's belt +1 represents an overall loss of 57 damage. And this spreadsheet does not have a way to account for the fact the belt increases triple attack damage by 5%. What it did tell me is I need to throw some augments on my Acro surcoat that is sitting in my MH. If I get +20 acc & atk, 3% DA, and 3% Crit damage on it, I can WS in it instead of the Uac Jerkin and get 63 overall WS damage. It would also beat out my current TP DD Body as well. I know I should be shooting for Lustratio eventually, but since I have this gear and some stones (and some login points), I think will take a crack at it. I should make a Fotia Gorget, but I have to make 6 more WS gorgets. For the Fotia Belt, I only need to acquire a Light Belt. Siren.Kyte

Did you update the spreadsheet with the correct WS properties (i.e. fTP carry)?
Siren.Kyte said: » Did you update the spreadsheet with the correct WS properties (i.e. fTP carry)? Yes. Snow belt is listed in there as fTP 100 and cTP 7% as well as WS Acc +10 Offline

I just recently started playing pld and now that I've finished aegis and ochain and have pdt/mdt sets I thought I could start doing higher level content like SR. Only problem I'm facing now is that my acc is horrible . Should I be using yorium with acc/pdt until I get stuff like founders and escha gear? Or is there another pdt/acc hybrid set some one can recommend before I spend money trying to get perfect augs? Thanks in advance!

Just struggle with poor acc until you get the pieces that you need. If you play right you won't need to hit to hold hate in the majority of cases.
Try to get well over your MDT and PDT caps and then sub gear out for high acc pieces of like odyssean from new Escha and slowly build it up while not sacrificing your tanking stats. Gifts also help a ton. Enlight 2 is huge with job points to make it last longer. |
