There is no other feeling quite like saving a round while your entire team watches.
or, one bullet left, 5 of them hunting you...
It's a good thing you run faster with the knife.
Always fun to just toss your gun and pick up another instead of reloading.

Yea I think that was mostly me not wanting to abruptly walk away to get a glass from the kitchen.

I'll make sure it doesn't happen again, sir.
Part of my reason for not having a webcam and using a wireless headset. If I want some wine during the podcast, I am able to get wine + goblet without interruption. Freedom is a hell of a thing.
Little do you all know, he spends most of the podcast in the bathroom.

I was wondering what was happening during those long gaps in the conversation after you finished talking.

Yea, I told him he needs to change his diet.

I am a little jealous of how quiet his toilet is though.

If he got fired, we'd have heard it on the news by now...

His type of music might not be your style, but he's an accomplished musician and has won a few grammy awards.

Grammies mean ***.

Edit: examples.

Christopher Cross over: Sinatra, Billy Joel, Pink Floyd

Milli Vanilli over: anyone

Jethro Tull over: Metallica for HEAVY METAL category.

Eric Clapton (for an unplugged version of Layla) over: Nirvana for "Smells Like Teen Spirit" for best rock song.

Steely Dan over: Eminem for all the awards in 2000.

A Taste of Honey over: Elvis Costello for best new artist.

Will Smith over: Public Enemy for best rap performance.

I'm not a fan of LL Cool J, but the fact of the matter is that the Grammies have never mattered. They've always been about acts that 1) Fall in line with what the industry controllers want and 2) make money for said industry controllers.

For the record, I like Steely Dan and Eric Clapton (in the grand scheme) way more than Nirvana and Eminem, respectively (though I enjoy all four acts). But those were, in fact, snubs in those years that simply prove that it's not about musicianship within the category or forging new roads in the genres.

Ugh...I hate when the topic of suicide rears it's head on here.

I always start wondering what the suicide rate is in Texas. Two people I know have shot themselves. (One a good friend, who did it alone. One *** that essentially knocked up a friend and bowed out the cowardly way and wanted to make sure his "message" was left.) The third was an acquaintance who ODed.

Either way, curiosity killed the cat in regards to that thread.

Urgh! Blah! Have a good remainder of the day.

It's not a fun topic, especially when you get the people with their "stoic hardass" opinions chiming in.

Just did that thing where I had an instrument solo in my head (saxophone, in this case) for like an hour but couldn't remember what the *** song it was from. I was listing to some Springsteen with a lot of sax stuf, but I knew it wasn't Springsteen.

Finally figured it out. That feeling when you place that tune or actor you saw in a movie from a movie you know well: priceless.
