But, y'know... Zahbles.

Niko! Get the pots and pans ready, I have an idea!

First we get some poison ivy clippings and extract the oil from them...after that the possibilities are endless!

Once the poison ivy oil vaporized it would get into your lungs and you would have a very large and un-treatable problem on your hands.

I have thought about making my own home made pepper defense spray out of ghost peppers and loading it into a refillable fire extinguisher but without a proper lab equipped with emergency ventilation it's impossible. Even with masks
I'll have to say, the idea piqued my interest, and that's a very good reason to not do it. While I'm immune to the ivy on my skin, I don't think my lungs would be so tolerant.

Well, I was going to just post this in reply:

And then ran into this tidbit:
Further information: Seton Hall reports § Detainees' profile

This improvised timer for a time bomb was captured in the early 2000s.
According to The Guardian, "the Casio F-91W digital watch was declared to be 'the sign of al-Qaeda' and a contributing factor to continued detention of prisoners by the analysts stationed at Guantánamo Bay. Briefing documents used to train staff in assessing the threat level of new detainees advise that possession of the F-91W – available online for as little as £4 – suggests the wearer has been trained in bomb making by al-Qaida in Afghanistan."[4] United States Military intelligence officials have identified the F91W as a watch that terrorists use when constructing time bombs.[5][6][7][8][9]

This association was highlighted in the Denbeaux study, and may have been used in some cases at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.[10] An article published in the Washington Post in 1996 reported that Abdul Hakim Murad, Wali Khan Amin Shah, and Ramzi Ahmed Yousef had developed techniques to use commonly available Casio digital watches to detonate time bombs.[11]

hmm, I used to wear a watch like that, not sure if it was the same model or not, was definitely Casio.

The plastic bands like to break, so the last watch I bought has a metal one, but it's 1 link too big to wear right on my wrist regardless of how I set it, so I just stopped wearing it.

edit: the watch function did work well, so good watch indeed.

Wow.

I had no idea of the repercussions from asking such a simple question. If someone told me that a friend would be inches away from hacking off his own finger because of the mindworm I stuffed in his head, I would have abstained from asking altogether.

I appreciate the thought you put into it, and on the rating scale, I probably could be a 4. The funny thing is, I was actually excited to get these glasses because I like the way glasses look on a person. Buuuuut, I suppose I need to join the ranks of others and buy contacts at some point. I could still wear glasses at work, but the contacts would be more for dating and stuff.

I hope your fingy gets better, and maybe in the future pay attention to where that knife goes. I did something similar when I was doing prep work for a restaurant I worked at briefly. They wanted me to dice olives, and I had never diced anything before and I remember just cutting right into my fingernail. That *** huuuuuuuurt.

Speaking of which.

It's trash day today in cookie cutter city so last night everyone is outside mowing their lawns in unison and I hear some kid yelling HELP!!

So I stop the lawnmower and look around. And I hear it again.
HELP!!

and I see four adults, one guy is using a weed eater, his wife is at the foot of the driveway of the neighbor's house gossiping to the neighbor's wife, her husband is in front of the garage and it's their douchebag older kid screaming for help on the side of the garage not twenty feet away from any of them.

and the kid screams again.
HELP!!

and he's waving his arms and I start heading that way and as I get closer I can see nothing is wrong with him... but nobody else is looking at him.

he is just playing with his little brother...

And FINALLY the kid's dad notices ME because I am walking towards the kid that is screaming for help

and he finally looks at the kid and calls his name and the kid runs off.

I mean WTF? didn't they tell that kid the boy who cried wolf story? Did they also not pay attention to it?

There are two important lessons there

1. (is for the kids) you never yell for help unless you really need it. and
2. (is for the parent) you never don't go see what's wrong when a kid yells for help

There were four adults in ear shot that didn't respond at all.
Had it been an actual emergency, and I wasn't there that kid would be dead.

We have ponds he could have been drowning in and coyote's that road around.... ***there are hundreds of things that could have been happening to him or his little brother or one of the other kids...

that dumbass kid yells so much nobody can even hear him any more....
