Yeah the Purge was baaaad. Premise was kind of cool but the execution was kind of poorly executed. The kids were just... cliche especially with the masks, it was like Rob Zombie advised the villians to wear plastic cause it makes for the knee jerk creep factor. Their self righteousness about killing the poor made me want to kill them. The twist made me think Shamalamadingdong was involved.
I saw Thor 2 this weekend it wasn't half bad as far as popcorn flicks goes. But I think comic books movies might be getting to convoluted since they're starting to refer to far too many esoteric things only the biggest comic fans can reference.

I thought the Purge was terrible. It wasn't even salvagable as a Scyfy type lame movie where you could laugh through the cheese. It had an interesting premise but a crappy setup and so many unanswered questions you could fly a Dreamliner through the script.
I'm being hyperbolic but it wasn't very good. :/
Thor 2 was good for what it was. Not quite Avengers but the ending sequence was pretty fkn cool and it managed to wind up better than Iron Man 3. The villain was pretty lame though and brought very little to the table other than being your stock baddie.

I'm somewhat over the hunger games, so I've gone back to my first love, Harry Potter!
I don't know how major, I'm going to be going to see The Giant's Causeway. Neither of us driver, so most of it will be on foot. :)

a fine frosty *** it is, I might add.
anyone do anything fun this weekend? nothing too interesting here, played some fishing fantasy 14, drank in relative moderation, & had an early thanksgiving with the in-laws. that's the only holiday that I'm ok with celebrating as many times as people want. (if I haven't said that before)
I guess I got to carouse around with a friend I haven't seen in quite a while too, so that was fun as well.
