Mea Culpa
We ended up getting greek food because the guy at the kurdish place wasn't answering his phone... and his name is Ali and he has diabetes and looked like ***the last time I was in there.. so I'm kinda thinking I should drive by there and make sure he didn't get robbed and shoved into the walk in freezer by crystal meth junkies or maybe I watch too much tv and he is just having a problem with his phone carrier...
but the reason we were hungry for kurdish food is this weekend we had turkish food and it was awesome but it's too far away for lunch the kurdish place is closer and kinda similar... right, but then when you are hungry for turkish, can only get kurdish and the kurdish place is closed greek is the next logical step in that cuisine region...you could go the other direction but good luck finding a bulgarian or Nakhchivan place... I suppose I could have suggested mongolian which would have been chineseier but I was too slow.
and unfortunately the greek place is an american greek place with the processed gyro meat instead of a real meat piled on a skewer but c'mon where are you going to find that outside of the real greece...
and so I only ate a fortune cookie to celebrate chinese wednesday which has officially been postponed in our office to thursday this week due to an unfortunate set of unlikely occurrences involving weekend plans and kurdish diabetics not answering their phones and me being to slow to seize upon that opportunity and suggest mongolian....

I got to be slightly cultured in lamb though, by a crazy israeli ex-commando whom I was fortunate enough to meet while I worked the cash register at a little grocery store in downtown stupid Minneapolis. Idk if the army taught him to cook over there, or wtf, but I still haven't had anything nearly that delicious in all of my life. though to be fair, I was almost definitely stoned.

my grandma on my dad's side made these amazing caramel rolls that I've tried & tried to re-create, & have nothing but failed miserably. there's something about 50 years experience that no matter how hard you try, you just can't duplicate.

Well I wouldn't say he didn't give me a receipt as much as I didn't take the receipt from him... but ya know... splitting hairs really... He started telling me what he was going to use it for and such but I became a little disgusted and lost interest... that and I didn't ask him... Lets just say that your heart is going to be a little worse for the wear... I wonder if it will be able to love again...

I like thanksgiving though, It's the one day out of the year that I am EXPECTED to drink, watch football, gorge myself on food, & pass out around 2pm for few hours. how could that possibly go wrong???

just start acting real butch out of no where & tell your hubby you've been a big Detroit lions fan your whole life, & were just putting on airs for his benefit. then say that thanksgiving is your favorite drinking / football day & it is essential to your well being to act like a ***-off that day. O, & you forgot how to cook.

it's usually not that easy...
