Blizzards, bring it on..... We melt down here. I love it when I can just open the windows. Think I would take a blizzard over a heatwave if that was ever an option. Blizzards > Hurricanes. I lived thru Snowmageddon here sorta. Though i just had a 2WD car, now I has 4WD SUV, now I won't be AS stuck. Ice how ever, I refuse to drive in. NUPE.
The last big damaging storm we had here knocked out power for us for a week late June/Early July. The house was hot like death, ya eff that. Carbuncle.Skulloneix

O Captain, my Captain! IDK. It's from As You Like It by Will I. Am Shakespeare. The play is... odd. But out of the entirety of the piece, Sir Rowland is the most noble and cherished character. Also... he's dead, so there's that. Carbuncle.Skulloneix said: » Mag got Zah "O"ing.... /giggles Mag, I was browsing the Ayn Rand thread. Have you read anything from her? I cliff-noted and BSed my way through 'Catch-22'. Just wondering if you read anything else by her. From what people are saying on that thread, I'm kind of glad I just said *** it. Seems like 'Catcher in the Rye', something you can only appreciate in your youth.

Seems like 'Catcher in the Rye', something you can only appreciate in your youth. I will say this, though. I don't have a problem with her writing. I do remember enjoying the work I was reading, but I can't remember much else. Wait! It's coming back to me... something about a world rebuking technology and the main character finds... like an oven or something. Then he gets in trouble and I think is exiled?
edit: Found it! It's called Anthem. so, the last few months of being overworked have paid off. this week and next week will all be half days while i train for my new position. while i'm kind of worried, cause it's a much more intense job than i thought it would be. i couldn't help but smile when i walked through this,
and set at my desk, in my own office, with a lovely view. is it weird i'm counting two weeks of half days and only working my night job twice a week as a vacation? nah. a breaks a break.
looks pretty nice down south though.... it's feeling pretty good down here too. been 40-50 at night/morning and 80ish in the afternoon. it kinda sucks for my sinuses, but i love being able to have the windows open.
I know I've already congratulated you, Hev, but you deserve it! Cheers!

I've got a pile of laundry on the couch that needs to be folded and pretty sure I haven't touched the guest bath in over a month. Thanks for the warning, Mom and Dad! time to put the baby daddy to work?

My mother is a nurse though and her Krauty Von Krautenheimer side is so anal retentive that she will comment dust on my baseboards when it's there. Really not a huge deal when they call ahead of time. LOL! Urgh! Parents! Love them, but urgh! ARGH! RAWR! At least we'll have the opportunity to pop in on our kiddos at a moment's notice one day. Did Meshi's work block AH again? :<
Maybe. But if you want him to return, you have to go in the bathroom, turn the lights off and say his name five times in your mirror.
