Power Rangers: A Guide to Pewing
I tried full rapid shot build, did not like it compared to snap build and you sacrifice a lot of racc for the rapid shot gear.

ItemSet 320475
Anyone here can explain why I cap out at 30 tp per shot. I am using rng/sam and was hoping for 34-35 tp per shot for a 3 hit. Thanks. Thanks. no idea. just the sTP gear and subjob, you should be at 29.7TP, +5 for Arcadian Beret. Did you try more than 1 shot /make sure recycle did proc ?

Gonna go with Ccl, try a few shots, you should be getting almost 30 with just the STP gear, recycle isn't a 100% proc. why are you shooting for a 3-hit, btw?
Thanks and definitely CCL. #snprphnx just focking about. Played with rng/sam 3 hit on Very Difficult non-mithra AA.
Mainly using it for Legion/Skirmish 3.0 wanted to test ws frequency and see if I could make something happen versus the 4hit that i use /war It doesn't cap at 30. Just checked outside with my store TP set: got 31 TP return.
DPS-wise, I entered your 3-hit max sTP and /Sam set into the DPS spreadsheet and compared it to the 4-hit /war set Greyfawkz posted and the 4-hit wins. The 3-hit has less r.acc and while the WS frequency is higher, I was showing just over 1k less DMG per WS and less DMG per TP round.
Things might be different with full COR buffs, including sTP roll, which would allow you to drop some sTP gear in both your TP and WS phases in lieu of r.acc and r.atk and base stats. You're entirely correct not sure why I mentioned racc, maybe half asleep. Anyways when the rapid does not proc you're left with almost no snapshot gear on making a very slow ranged attack. This is because he didn't optimize it to COR buffs. Here are my 3 hit sets that you can plug in. I finished my gun yesterday after I Ccl and I theory crafted lower hit builds a few weeks ago for bow and gun and here are the preliminary sets we had come up with: Gun: ItemSet 320379 ItemSet 320381 (Ccl said he'd post his sets later, the gun and bow builds look similar) There are some adjustments that can be made according to COR rolls. The most reliable builds are ones that incorporate a COR roll of 7+ this requires a /SAM sub and goading belt You can replace the goading belt if you have a roll of 9+. You can get away with murder and a /WAR sub with a roll of 2 or 11. You need Arcadian Beret +1 in your WS set for any of this to happen. These are not sets that people will use all the time. But they are strong enough that I'd carry the extra gear to take advantage of these roll situations. The key number that you need to hit for gun is 42TP/21WS in gear with COR rolls 7+. (With Arcadian Beret +1 in WS). The key number you need to hit for bow (without cor rolls) is 36TP/21WS. (With Arcadian Beret +1 in WS) Those are the bow set I came up with, 4hit /war, on sweet spot (bow can sweet spot all AA but TT as far as I know, gun can't)those set are better dmg than similar gun set/skill, with those set you can cap racc on all VD AA w/o outside buff.
Gun 3 hit is better if you can maintain sam roll/racc, but this is only really applicable for VD dm! Decoy up, max dmg, -20 enmity goal: ItemSet 319828 Decoy down Max enmity- goal ItemSet 320677 4hit/racc goal (need at least 3stp augment on Skote) ItemSet 320678 Namas ItemSet 319829 So I recently got the 119 skirmish gun and bow and wondering on JR sets out of the gear I have I came up with this.
ItemSet 320718 Obvious upgrades are +1ing orion, the bee legs and 119 arrows more wondering on second earring, neck, back and waste slots. Regarding TP sets for both gun and bow how much STP should I be aiming for? Currently im just using a full racc build for AAs and delve. TP set atm ItemSet 320808 Creaucent Alazrin said: » So I recently got the 119 skirmish gun and bow and wondering on JR sets out of the gear I have I came up with this. Since Deadeye doesn't apply to weaponskills don't gear for crit rate. But something like this to shoot for, no pun intended. Are there any math gurus available to help me make a decision?
I have an opportunity to upgrade to Bocluamni +2 but I'm undecided whether I should go with that, or stick with Eminent Bow. Which of the two is superior in terms of DPS? And what augments are needed to help push Bocluamni +2 over the top? Just my two bits, I'd probably stick with Orion braccae and socks+1 for jishnus. The extra racc is always welcome and you are less likely to need the ratt with crits pdif capping a lot lower than normal ratt. I assume I'll want 5 main sets to start off; TP, Preshot, WS (Coronach), TP Racc, WS (Last stand)? If anyone has item sets i can take a look at, that would be very much appreciated! Thanks! Edit: Just saw Greyfawkz's sets on previous page and they look like what im looking for. http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/38352/power-rangers-a-guide-to-pewing/36/#2570670 If anyone has anything to add to those sets (Last stand set, TP RACC sets?) would be great! I messaged Helel about a week ago to try to edit the node but it doesn't seem like he checks AH at all =/.
Anyways, going with the kind of format he used in the guide, here are the accuracy alternatives for each slot : ItemSet 321091 Obviously some ideas are better than others; you're likely using Orion Jerkin +1, or DM body anyways. Hat should be the absolute last thing you swap into. Rangers already have better accuracy than most other jobs and we have a good amount of accuracy/AGI baked into our current options already. If you're getting standard alliance buffs you should be able to have no accuracy issues on a VD Divine Might using the sets Grey posted, or the one Keityan posted a few sets up. New Delve Megabosses may be another story, though. Edit : Qaaxo Mitaines may beat out Buremte(also, it was mentioned Iutil with a ranged accuracy augment is similar), I'm just not sure on the augment paths for them yet. Assuming it's Ranged Accuracy +15 on some path, they'll be a better option. Vanir Boots would beat out Qaaxo Boots with the same assumed augment value simply because the AGI difference should make up the potential accuracy difference. Qaaxo Mitaines aren't going to work out for racc. Quote: A: Att+15, Eva+15, DA+2 B: Acc+15, STR+7, PDT-3 C: Rng.Atk+15, STP+3, Snapshot+3 They are interesting though. STP+3 on hands with Racc+10 Ratk+15. The boots also offer RNG some STP in an interesting slot. For Racc with Gun, I'd just use Sigyn's. Around 17'ish racc with the skill, and then whatever you get from 8 AGI. (6 racc according to Bryth's tests. 0.75 racc per AGI) Offline

Just damn on my way to making relic gun so yeah but still damn...
Are there any Crit + gear that we can incorporate into EES builds that do not sacrifice too much of vital stats for ranger?
Trying to get this to happen more often than not: Sylph.Nikia said: » Wanted to see what thoughts were on this set for bow TP. ItemSet 319447 It is STP +22 for 18.4 TP/hit, with recycle procs and 16.9 Namas TP return I get 100.5 TP with 4hit+WS. How does that look for a non ACC set? Math seems to work as 18.4*4+10+16.9=100.5 That assumes 2/4 shots proc recycle. Tested this set solo and it seems to be holding up. what are you WSing in that is giving you 12 stp? There are obviously a lot of racc improvements you could make with a 3/4 recycle proc. Keeping the 2/4, dropping K'ayres Ring for Kyujutsugi(DM body) would be an obvious improvement. Anything except maybe the galka on VD anything (AA, nexus fulc and most likely new some delve stuff) you are probably going to need more racc than that even with preludes and hunters. Unless of course you aren't doing VD. On whatever you are doing that you don't require racc you might even be better off WS in Arcadian+1, This would allow you to 2/4 recycle proc and only use 14stp in gear for TP. You also lose a lot less from other head options during ws if your capped racc/ratt I dunno about the body, but I'm loving the Arc. Braccae +1's.
Where does the Prester staff come from?
Body is a huge boost if you can afford to use it, mainly, you aren't having accuracy issues and can sacrifice the 20/21 on Kyu/Orion +1. Obviously STP comes into play as well depending on what kind of hit build you are going for but you can likely make up for the 5 elsewhere if it's that important to whatever build you're using.
Low hit builds, mainly those involving /SAM, only really start to come into play if you are pretty much attack capped without berserk, so I think Arcadian +1 is likely the body of choice for 99% of what you'll be doing on RNG. |
