Hellos-need help transferring macro's from laptop to new pc, read long time back can copy some files etc but nt sure how to go about this.

When I move PCs I tend do use an external HD to move all my FF files into a new POL folder that I make using the CDs. That way theres a lot less updating required. This will also copy across your macros

C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER
if you're using a 32 bit os you don't need the (x86) part.
All your macros and ingame settings are held in this file.

ok worked a treat, thx muchly!
This can also be done without copying files. While on the Character select screen, press [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Shift]+[ B ] to backup your macros to the server. Pressing [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Shift]+[ R ] restores them.
