Problem With Windower 4 Crashing Pol

I took the opportunity with the last update to upgrade from 3.4 to 4, but now I'm having a problem where pol.exe is crashing when I'm using Windower 4 (not on shutdown). Generally I can login and once I get to (or get past) the character select screen I have about 5 minutes before an error message pops up for POL and I have start all over again.

I've tried running windower with no plugins. I've run a file check on both FFXI and POL, nothing was found. When I play FFXI without windower I'm not having the problem at all. The only other thing I can think of is uninstalling and going back to 3.4, so any ideas or suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

your gonna need to give them more to work with. operating system ect...

Been having this issue as well. Had a few random crashes while playing, however most POL crashes have come when logging from main on to a mule or vice versa. Running Windows 7.

Gonna take a stab in the dark here and ask if you have the latest MS .NET Framework 4+ ?

crashing when you log out is normal. (I'm assuming you mean when you try to close beyond the character select screen)

My Windows 8 PC crashes between POL and the FFXI start screen... Which is weird, because it didn't do that last week.

I'm still up and running on one PC, but it kinda sucks, so I'm not sure what to do about my Windows 8 one... :/

I have Windows XP on the computer I use to play FFXI. Not sure what other information would be helpful, but if someone would tell me I'll figure it out and post it.


I should, and after making going through the windows update recently it should (hopefully) be up to date.

Still having problems with 4, so I've gone back to using 3.4 at least until a solution presents itself. Very much looking forward to upgrading to 4 though.
