What do you mean with charging VS?
If you mean 3K tp, which is by no means necessary imho, you can easily get 3K tp before engaging with Boost and Ask Sash, very quickly with the right gear.

If you meant charging Impetus I don't really see the big deal either.
Use Focus right after Impetus to get a 10% crit at start to compensate while you quickly build stacks in mere seconds.
It's not like you "need" 50 charges of Impetus for Vsmite to be good.



That said and done, I think Godhands all in all is a more versatile weapon and more staightforward to use.

Yes, apologies i meant charging impetus, its not right or wrong but i do see some fluctuations with VS numbers, whereas RF and TK is more stable - esp with fighters - unless MA proc.

But yeah, I use both but in shorter zerg fights and given my party composition, I prefer GH, longer fights Impetus VS then GHs, and if I only can afford 1 weapon, I would GH

Whats VS without impetus like? 8000ish? so RF > VS with no impetus, is it correct? because I do get higher numbers on RF vs no impetus VS

8755 with AM1 spamming VS, while Raging Fists 9400 when you WS around 1900. So for raw damage GH with RF without Impetus indeed wins, so if fight is 5min or longer the best should be start with Impetus Veret, then switch to GH Footwork TK and then GH RF like you do. For 3 min (and less) fights start with Impetus Footwork GH Tornados, then after Footwork is down, switch to Veret.

Just tested, you dont lose stacks. I swapped weapons several times and bonus is still there (tested by checking attack with Bhikku body +1).

This was VD buffs were SV HM Minuet 5 and 4 and Mad.. Geo was bolster Fury only.. Chaos Sam Fighters.. very interesting I honestly switched to GH the entire farm runs, was getting 45k-99k..



Don't laugh but I been thinking of Mythic for the MA proc.. Anyone tested DK with that? Would be very interesting Simon, what do you think?

I've not played in a couple of years and decided to check in on things. While doing so I'm trying to recall how to properly calculate delay cap for monk, maybe y'all can help; Would I be correct in saying that in order to reach the 80% cap using godhands, one would need +24 martial arts from gear (assuming job is mastered)? And only +3 martial arts if using vere? (also assuming magic and gear haste are both capped ofc)

(steps taken to calculate were:
vere:
480 + 81 = 561 delay
561 x 0,2 = 112,2
112,2 / 0,3215 = 348

561-348 = 213 (210 of which is covered by job points))

(480 + 81) * 0.2 = (270 + 81 - x) * (1024 - 256 - 448) / 1024

Vere doesn't need any martial arts with capped magic haste.
Godhands needs 12-13
(480 + 138) * 0.2 = (270 + 138 - x) * (1024 - 256 - 448) / 1024

With GH I usually have Mache Earring +1 Instead of Brutal with impetus down, while just Bhikku Cyclas +1 while up. What do you guys use? Do you even bother with that last 6/7 MA?

Technically you would use Veret with IMP up so who cares, and GH with down so Mache +1, but I'm still lazy and don't wanna face Chlroris :3

doing it your way gets the opposite reciprocal, though. you get 8.something for vere when you are actually 8.something over the delay cap, not the other way around and godhands gives you -12.something when you still require the 12.something to cap, just something to keep in mind.

I missed that sorry.

I mean this is what you can expect really from TK with MA proc at attack cap. In sheet with fighter's roll and holding TP it shows 71k avg during Footwork.

Also in spreadsheet, when you go to WS section where it simulates I think 500 WSs to get some avg, you can even see that 8hit Tornado (triple+double attack or more capped at 8) would do like 127k damage if not the damage cap.

As for Mythic, doing TK at 500TP higher than Godhands would obviously result in better avg and more frequent spike damage, but overall dps will fall down slightly (less without Fighter's roll, but even then GH has some small lead).

Thanks dude.. Don't you think tp gain + frequency is more superior? like in 3-5 minutes fights, it would be like 200 ws vs 150 (fake numbers but an example), which spreadsheet doesn't account for?

I know that making a mythic for that might not be worth it, but when I was doing Dynamis, outside footwork, RF was doing surprising well (65k+ on volts with fighter's roll).. so thought of discussing if its worth or not, ill finish Mythic GK for hybrid ws then consider h2h and can do testing if needed. Thank you

Spreadsheet count in ws frequency. The problem is mythic wont be that much ahead.
1. Monk has high triple attack rate in gear
2. Mythic AM3 only works for one hand
3. Godhands has 10 store tp and store tp improve tp gain from both punches and kicks, while multihit only from punches.
4. WS frequency with GH will be higher because optimal ws threshold to fire off with GH is around 1500tp, while with mythic its 2000.

Not the best, but basically most of it is Ken+1 for TA proc, Cape is STR 30.. WS DMG 10%, Att/Acc.

Have some questions about counter, wiki says counter rate is capped at 80. MNK should have 27% with merits/JP, wiki says Counterstance "Increases Counter rate by 45%." So does that mean with counterstance up only need 8 counter in gear to cap? Or does it just bring mnk counter rate up to 45%?

Edit: Hesychast's Gaiters +3 wiki says "Increases Counter rate during counterstance by another 21% if worn for Counterstance activation"

So 27 base+ 45+21? which is way over cap so I assume I am not understanding something

Gear has to work without master/merits as a consideration.

Counterstance goes over the cap, yeah. Not breaks cap, but puts you well above what you need to be capped. Still not safe to use. (situationally)

A fresh 99 MNK only gets 12(17) counter, so they would need all 66 from the shoes.

How good is the JSE Neck +1 for TP and WS? For both raging fists and vsmite. Atm I'm not really looking to shell out 70-80m for a +2 so yeah.
