A counter set is actually more useful than a DT set in some cases, i.e. Cait Sith HTBF. He has an additional effect that will rip you apart, plus a really fast attack speed. Can swap to a counter set and negate a ton of his damage and still put out some dps at the same time. It's niche, like many things.

Anyone mind posting a good boost set with Ask Sash? should I be looking at almost 1200tp? might be worth considering starting with shell crusher with the sash

With marches and haste, I don't think you'll even get 1000 regardless of gear. The only things you can really add are slow+%, remove haste, and possibly use a higher delay weapon if it doesn't hurt anything to do so. Offline

How much are u getting with this set?
With Kaja Staff:
1000-1200 with capped magic haste. 1600-1800 with no magic haste. Offline

Thank you not sure if it's worth the extra 3-5 inventory slots of slow for some tp gain or not
Blurred staff still has pretty solid m.acc/skill, and malignance pole has the DT, the higher delay makes it easier to hit 1k. Ofc, hitting once with kaja isn't that big a deal either since you can return to TP gear after boost wears.
eeternal said: » not sure if it's worth the extra 3-5 inventory slots Am I missing something?
366 delay * 1.1 = 402 402 * .567 = 228 delay if slow and haste are multiplicative 366 * .667 = 244 delay if additive 228 * 3 / 60 = 11.4s, so guaranteed 3 ticks with a pretty high chance at the 4th, would be 600-800 tp? 244 * 3 / 60 = 12.2s, so guaranteed 4 ticks with a very very low(maybe 0 with packet interval) chance at 5th (not being condescending, you're generally on point in my experience but I haven't actually played with the sash) i was missing something, boost triples your delay but lasts 4x your delay, derp
looks like 4 ticks and 1.8s with nothing on kaja, 5 ticks and 1.3s with 10% slow and no haste gear with only 5%, you should still get it unless there's some weird rounding in there somewhere AND you start it milliseconds after a tick? 366 * .617 = 225.822 225 * 4 = 900 / 60 = 15 on the nose 5 ticks and .5s with no haste gear on blurred DirectX said: » What's the point? So you can open with shellcrusher? Yea. Pretty useful if you're doing solo Lilith or a handful of other content where it'll land readily. The inventory required is a pain...
Boost duration gets calculated on use, correct? So you only need to use that set on activation. (sash of course has to stay equipped). I'm kinda wondering how big of a boost ask sash would be for group content, for r15 vere. Would it make riding am2 or am3 viable? And even so, would the difference be worth it or negligible? Depends on how you prep for an event. most non-instanced things you start any fight with tp already.
But for instanced stuff it's "worthwhile" say you start ambuscade, you get to have half your 3k built before engaging, and if they buff slow, the full 3k before engaging. But it's also moot if you get tact roll as a prebuff. If you boost every time there's a 10+ second delay on dienamis that's free tp. Comes down to how much time you really spend waiting on the next mob, and if you want to boost every single time. If your crew is really efficient or you just don't want to boost every minute, value goes down. Kaja/Xonanon considered the best because of the higher-than-usual Macc Skill+ and because it has large quantities of both Accuracy AND magic accuracy?
Malignance pole has 412 delay and loads of Acc. Big chunk in macc though. Lakshmi.Buukki

I guess it doesn't matter which one you use. Personally, I use Xoanon for the macc but Malignance Pole has 5 more acc skill (a lot less macc though). There's a host of defensive stats as well that would make it worth swapping to if mitigating initial damage is of concern. For instance, something like Odin HTBF where you wouuld voke on MNK and wait for RDM to silence/dispel/addle/slow etc before starting your TP pummeling. Malignance Pole would be useful there I would think, since he's going to get a few licks in before you get to whacking
Hey guys for cataclysm should I use Reikikon or Malignance pole, dont have Xoanon yet, thanks in advance.

Just upgraded Godhands to R15, all I can say is MNK is one of the best dds if not the best (if you have both vere and godhands).
At capped attack TK is 63k+ (Omen bosses) Offline

Vere def make a difference... VS 50+k and once Impetus is down switch to GHs but not sure how much % difference but its noticeable for sure, you won't regret it, but I recommend getting vere first if you can afford both

Veret is random. Sometimes you will back to back spam 50-70k Vsmites at low TP. Sometimes you will miss in wrong moment and you will make few 30-40k, so avg is still higher, but sometimes when you are lucky it's way higher.
Is it my impression or, while Vere kinda need R15 to Shine, Godhands is pretty nice even at R1?

Well its kinda logical, Veret R15 boosts its prime WS and adds STR,DEX,base dmg that boosts all WSs even more (including Vsmite). Now R15 Godhands only significantly boosts Shijin and you only use shijin for Scing, which not many people do. |
