You would need AM up beforehand for this to work. The AM-activating WS from Aeonics don't have the Light or Dark SC property at the time of use. Only after activating AM will it gain the SC property.

That may be true, but if you are using Godhands and trying to multisatep with Shijin Spiral you'll pretty much always have at least AM1 up. Unless, of course, you intentionally close a Radiance each time to get rid of it by holding TP or by doing a 5-step.

I am using AG Spharai, so perhaps I'll consider switching for pure DPS situations.

Correct. If you want DPS, Karambit beats Spharai R15. So if looking for a good DD weapon and just not quite have the time to push an Aeonic or Empyrean? It's a good choice.

I used Karambit until I finished Vereth to R15. Vereth is much stronger but Karambit did not disappoint.

Which ultimate weapon is best for Monk? Is this guide still accurate in the weapons section? Want to know before i decide to lose my sanity doing Chloris. Or if someone can just list MNK REMA's from best to worst i would greatly appreciate it.

IMO it all depends on the content you're doing. I got Vere and Godhands R15, and during low man situations where I'm sole DD I use godhands. Otherwise when there is more people fighting alongside I stick to Vere. I think simon said that both weapons are close to each other at full buffs situations.

There are better options and it will lower your tp per hit (very little)

Same reason you don't pile up on DW gear, monk(and pup) has too much native Martial Arts

You should be using it if you are wearing a high delay weapon (i.e. Godhands) except when other martial arts gear is on, like Bhikku body during Impetus. For almost anything else it's going to hurt you, especially considering the better options available. Even Karambit is slightly overcapped with just master and no martial arts gear.

More WSD after WSD was made considerably less useful for HTH WSs. Sounds about right for SE.

Still nice for HF though.

5 WSD is going to lose to Moonbow+1 on pretty much everything (situationally)

BUT, it's neato for the meditate effect

It’s good incentive to use boost again rather than having to be reminded on forums about clunky ways to use it. Starting out with free tp is always helpful, and the ability to be able to use that once every 60 seconds for free tp is actually really huge... even Walmart monks benefit from that modifier bonus alone. Guess they found a creative way to fix boost. This helps out non Godhands users a bit also as they can crank out higher numbers with the aid of Boost

Swap to relic 999 delay, Boost, put on real weapon *taptemple*

Other than the bigbrain pre-fight meditate with relic strat;
not going to even attempt to math it out,but the tp you gain during the wait probably gets close enough to make up for the lost melee swings, it at least makes the penalty less severe. (probably not for Vsmite though)

So 5 sec of not doing anything is now enhanced with potentially 400tp.

Maybe if it was 500tp. I always remember there is a huge delay after boost and ws but that maybe just me.

While potentially cool, I'm not particularly convinced by this belt for idle or between-fights etc.

I'm more watching out for that new Ammo which might replace Ginsen for TP and I'm not sure how it would fare on WS.
It lacks WSD but has higher stats.
Not sure, would love to see some comparison.

We could use Simon's spreadsheet, simply adding the ammo there and see how it performs compared to the regular options.
Either way I don't expect any massive difference though.

Mainstream:
Ask Sash - Can be used as prebuff before haste buff (in example in Ambuscade) to get ~1000TP. It probably doesnt close the gap to make boost not a DPS loss during high buff scenario, but if you like to use boost anyway for high numbers (since most even are easy, you might at least have more fun while repeating them :P).
Odr Earring - New BIS for Vsmite.
Aurgelmir Orb +1 - New BIS for TP, Raging Fists, Ascetic's Fury, Shijin Spiral, Spinning attack and very marginally for Vsmite and low TP Howling and Tornado.

Niche stuff:
Tuisto Earring - HP/idle set.
Mimir Earring - for mage subjobs
Yngvi Earring - for turtle set when you want to lose hate

Assuming Sherida + Odr for new BiS...? Since you didn't specify which ear to replace.

Edit: and I wonder if that's even still the case for impetus and acc capped situations. Haven't calculated anything yet, just gut feeling.
