I know it's tempting to still use FLamma head+2 or other gear with Triple ATk, Store TP/DT etc in a TP set but ultimately it's not worth it as a trade-off, to TP slightly faster or to increase DPS/WS frequency by a bit if that makes you hella squishy and extremely susceptible to debuffs etc.

As a WHM main, i beg you, stop using glass cannon tp/ws sets in high end content <3

Maybe i worded it poorly but so long as you keep your DT capped, which aint too difficult these days with all the dump of DT gear, you can typically keep your received dmg fairly low even with 1-2 pieces of non-ody/sortie gear. You're losing 7 magic def bonus in those 2 pieces for example, meva's fair but atleast for sortie it seems like basement NMs have stupid high macc, even run can struggle to bypass some effects.

Think it more comes into play with fetters which are breath dmg and so shell aint covering that, in those cases yeah full sakpata might be needed and/or a DT or MDT cape(least in the past augmented MDT was also BDT)

Otherwise i think most jobs are fin with 1-2 pieces. Not like the days of old where people ran around in full argosy or used that NNI DA/TA/QA body

I always have one peice in tp sets (head usualy) but never more. Though capped in dt, think the main issue would be loosing neva. Loosing 100 meva is noticeable, especially on a job that loves to pull hate like drk.

Hey guys, on the main page the gearswap listed what do I name the Augmented Gear file and where do I place it? They are both named with numbers so i'm not sure where to place it or what to name it if that makes sense. Currently the DRK.lua is not swapping capes which seem to be tied to the augmented gear file however naming it Augmented Gear and placing it in the data folder doesn't seem to be working?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Windower\addons\GearSwap\data (asssuming that's where your windower is) and a drk lua should be called Manticore_DRK.lua, or whatever your character name is.

An alternative: equip the specific cape, do //gs export, open the notepad file containing the equipset, then paste the cape line into the lua. The back line descriptively calls for the exact cape with the specific augments on them.

Hi!

So the DRK lua is working, it's just not swapping any of the augmented stuff like capes. I am unsure if the Augmented Gear file needs to be named something differently?

also @Buukki ok great I can try that too, appreciate the advice everyone!

I really like this gearswap provided by OP I just can't figure out how to get his Augmented Gear file working lol

Guys, I've decided when I make Foearia, I'm subbing WHM and main healing with this set, while DDing and tanking with Dread Spikes

(I can still do it with Apoc alternating Catastrophe + Entropy for HP/MP refill needs)

Just skip the file, its not necessary any longer IMO.

Yes I understand but this augmented gear file is very extensive and organized, if I can get it to work it would save hours of editing time since the two files were made to work together if that makes sense?

I have almost every item listed it's just the capes for instance aren't switching and I don't know what I need to do to get the main LUA to use the Augmented Gear LUA

There's nothing in that DRK lua to call the augment file. You'll see here line 60-64

end


It includes the Mote-Include.lua for mote files, but there's nothing for the augment lua natively. So unless you added in the include, it's not going to just randomly call the file for you.

What TVR Ring did you guys choose? The WSD one looks nice but the the TP ring and even the PDL ring seem interesting as well...

That set uses FC+10% sap augment (I just plugged in what I already had made), and I mentioned in the notes that it does not cap haste, so you can opt for 10% Haste augment instead of FC, which would then cap gear haste. Have gone back and forth about it and I think Haste+10 is probably better option there for cure recasts.
