hmmm yeah, ran numbers on just basic math and Calad wins definitely..

KClub Antics
9999 HP -- 1600 per swing
Average Swing per Attack is 4 = 6400 per Swing
Capped Haste Delay is 52.8 so 0.88 Sec per attack
60 seconds allows 68.18 Attacks
Equals average of 435,000 Damage in one minute..

Calad Capped Haste Delay is 86 = 1.43 sec per attack
60 seconds allows 42 Attack Rounds (Actually 41.958 but very likely to breach)
I agree with 2 Attack Rounds per WS because that's very frequently observed in zergs.
SO
21 Chances at WS in 60 seconds
Assuming 30,000 Average per WS that lands us at 630,000 Damage in 60 seconds. And that's not even factoring Melee Damage, and potential Skillchains

Yup, K Club is quite thoroughly dead haha. Was interesting to think about at least.

I think you dont realize or you forgot about 2sec JA delay after WS, so you wouldn't be even close to 21 WS per minute. If you assume 3hit then 2 attack rounds + WS with Calad is 4.86 sec, so a little over 12 WS per minute, but still Calad would win easily. AM3 Calad is around 3600DPS. With souleater you can add 1800 to that, so 5400. So you would barely have 1000 DPS advantage on white damage with KClub and when you add WS damage to that it's a no-brainer.

Curious what a current BiS/almost BiS Apoc TP set looks like.

Also, is the goal a 4hit or 5hit after WS and how much STP are we looking for from gear in TP set? Assuming we use the BiS WS set that was posted previously with Ratri+1, +2 JSE neck, and WS body?

Thanks for help.

Any chance you compared this to a Dacnomania for the lulz?

Capping haste via a body swap would be a DPS increase. Keep your stp cape and swap to valorous or flamma body. White damage for a mythic is such a small portion of your DPS.

I’d but ginsen in the ammo slot as well for the same
Reasoning.

Didn't feel like making a whole new topic just for this, and activity here has died down anyway, so...

My latest solo on Dark Knight. It wasn't too bad, and I ended with ~26 minutes left. I tried to get a better screenshot as it was dying, but forgot that DGVoodoo screws up Windower printscreen.

Not sure what Geriond does, but I use Moogle sel’theus koru ulmia yoran cherukiki, summoned in that order so that sel’theus keeps koru out of range of aoes.

For anyone that is bored or wants to shoot for body without the competition of 3+ people, Alex is soloable by DRK on up to D (though it takes foreeeever). I used Sehl'teus/AAEV/Yoran/Ygnas/Brygid, though I'd probably swap Brygid out for Iroha II or Moogle if I tried again.

Make sure to stay out of Divine Spear range until you have no choice (at around 20%), and put on PDT if you get hit by defense down and your trusts aren't able to erase it immediately.

It took about 26 minutes, but I could probably get it to low 20s if I tried again; I was experimenting and testing out the fight some.

Other than the things I mentioned above, it was mostly just a gradual grinding down of his HP.

Divine Spear is a very narrow conal targeted on the tank (AAEV in my case). As long as you stay a bit to the side, it'll miss.

However, Alexander only takes damage from the front, and the angle at which he takes damage gets narrower as his HP drops. On D, at about 20% the angle you can damage it becomes smaller than the angle Divine Spear hits, so you can't avoid it with positioning anymore.

Enfeebles and skill chains will cause you to time out.

Avoid them both. He probably put up AM3 and used resolution.

As for the cone start like it’s Fafnir (front foot) move to the middle at 20%.

Does anyone know if Father Time's Path C's Drain Potency augment is separate from or the same term as Drain and Aspir Potency?

If it's the same term, it's barely better than Dacnomania, but if it's separate that's a significant upgrade.

Enfeebles (any debuffs actually, including WSs like Tachi: Ageha) cause Alexander to full erase himself and put up stoneskin (hence your 0 damage). Don't use any RDM trusts or WHM trusts that enfeeble (Cherukiki).

Also you ideally want to avoid skillchaining entirely (it causes a retaliation TP move), so trusts like Iroha II that tend to try to skillchain will unnecessarily prolong the fight.

You can use a panacea (curio vendor moogle) to remove all the debuffs Alexander puts on you at once.

I'm fairly certain it is additive as I don't notice a huge increase when I use Drain3 with Father Time vs w/o (when I don't want to lose TP switching weapons).

The difference would be substantial: +204% drain potency w/ Dacno/maxed gear/NV, +209% with father time(additive), +255% with father time(multiplicative).
edit: changed values to account for +40 drain potency under NV from Job points.

Impressive if you can kill Alexander on D. I knew I wasn't doing enough damage so I warped out. I've been doing N using Selt/AAEV/Ulmia/Apururu with a pocket COR/WHM using Magus/Evokers staying out of range to -na when needed. Last Resort has been dangerous for me so I haven't been using it, and I've just been spamming Torcleaver.

I'm fairly certain it is additive as I don't notice a huge increase when I use Drain3 with Father Time vs w/o (when I don't want to lose TP switching weapons).

The difference would be substantial: +164% drain potency w/ Dacno/maxed gear/NV, +169% with father time(additive), +205% with father time(multiplicative).

Would you be at all willing to do a quick structured test just to make sure? 10 Drain II (or III) casts on a single mob type with potency + FT vs 10 with just potency.
