Speaking of Torcleaver, I've been kind of tempted to try to fully upgrade a Caladbolg. Empyreans get huge boosts from 119 to 121, and it actually turns into DRK's strongest weapon in quite a few situations.

Only problem is how expensive it is (~180m in heavy metals, ~55m in riftdross, ~60m in riftborn boulders). I've got about 130m saved up, but that's still a huge time investment in farming for the rest.

Hmm. Too bad it's so ugly.

Still depends on content, the neck and ear bonus still apply at 1k tp and the attack down bonus is minimal when fighting in an alliance with a geared linkshell. For our content there is little benifit in waiting to ws, however smaller groups with less buffs your argument is true

I also don't have a war for warcry tp bonus, so 175 for me generates the best overall gain. As for the content I almost only drk for kirin/woc/teles now. Rest of the time I rdm, rune, sch, blm etc.

Lack of knowledge regarding DRKs ammo options. Amar is pretty much DRGs best for Stardiver.

I just don't have the time nor patience to finish my Masamune let alone start the process all over again for Caladbolg

Honestly apoc isnt as bad as people make it, I assume anguta is in the same boat. I know my cata pull a pretty consistent 14k which is by no means amazing but the added effect allows you to tank quite ez. You only need enough hp to not get 1 shot, and probably enough to withstand 2 hits after, this means like 6500 is well over enough and easily attainable.

I honestly think with haste buffs alone drk could probably solo craver down solo like this :D I know once my pty wiped and I was able to hold it no worries until my hp boost wore, then it did a 2.2k aoe and I died haha.

I have been told by some that anguta with war-warcry on becomes just insane dmg 2450 base, which most likely will be at 3k tp all the time due to overflow.

I agree cala is badass looking in my book and one of the reason I want it haha (outside of its dmg potential). Glow red on drk is very cool with the black outfits and then cala ontop of that is just wow!

However I am hating the nms a ton, 75 Hearts farmed up last 2 days, working on CC and cara now and it makes me want to /wrists in every emo drk way.

Seeing that 50% tripple dmg proc will be easy to maintain on calad I am really thinking it might favor a max multi attack set during AM3 (I can get 11% QA, 6 TA, 42 DA during tp), and high stp when down? Anyone who has calad can chime in?

There isn't a single bad RMEA for melee jobs. That said, some stand out in particular.

DRK's high fTP scaling on all its worthwhile scythe weapon skills WS's favor Anguta greatly. So much so, that Anguta DRK has some really nice potential, despite what 'everyone' likes to say about the Scythes.

Apocalypse has it's own very special niche, but that niche isn't "Top DPS Option". So, no, Anguta isn't in the same boat as Apocalypse.

Also, Distortion isn't a particularly spectacular skill chain property, but you can skill chain darkness off of a Stardiver.

Any work happening to update gearsets? If your having troubles getting it updated I think we should make a community effort to do so, to many new drks in game /telling me now for advice because guide isnt up to date, so there is an immediate need. :D

Also would be very nice to have an up to date lua/spreedsheet in the guide possibly at top for quick access, that essential for knowledge and playability of this great job.

You know I was just thinking about that. I'm trying to fine tune my drk for omen so I do not have to take blu and it's a pain to look back to different pages and try and balance out the best options. Also an updated gearswap would be nice. Mine is a little old and I tend to find ones with sets already set-up with either nq, hq or Dream tier sets tend to give a good base like how the blu guide is.

SO Kishar ring, as expected, doesnt affect drain's effect duration, neither does the neck (friend tested). I hadnt seen anything on these so I decided to do a fast test myself.

With the accessories we got (25% potency) you can get a base of 27 and 60 with DS/NS. Having Lib will boost that to 86 during DS/NV. If you decide against the accessories for whatever reason, the base is 22/49 and lib gets 33/74.

Not a bad deal really, I don't utilize my magic enough on drk but I think I will start trying to a bit more. 60 acc/str/vit w/e you feel is needed at a start of a fight isnt bad, and the duration can be decent too. I am currently testing that since we now have a 10% duration ring, and 20% head. I just dont know if these come before or after strait +seconds duration from different gear like onyx/chuparossa etc.

Also good to know then that the formula on wiki is wrong because wouldnt it be floored at each step and using ((22*1.75)*2.25) = 85 actually if you floor it at each step... maybe lib multiplier comes after or something?
