There are always steady ways to make money, and for the simple fact that there are x000 people per server playing regularly, they'll all be reasonably equal as they are right now. If one method of income is totally unbalanced and provides a lot more gil than farming, then people will stop farming and take up that particular profession. The simple act of them doing this will put farmed goods in higher demand and their new profession in less demand (because of less and more supply respectively).

As I've said in several places on several topics, that's just how economies work, and it WILL sort itself out eventually.

My steady income, and you can check my AH history, pays for HQ staves, cursed gear, and other expensive items without ever brokering on the AH. Its as stable and competition free as it can get.

I want zone lines like those found in FFXII. No reason we should have to guess where the zone ends. I would also like an on-screen mini map, and would like to see the actual zone maps include some *** detail this time around. No more unmapped areas and guess work on how to traverse the maps. Simple requests I think.

Customisability is nice, but too easily broken, AND, it's fail for long term things if you can't go back and change your mind. The majority of people don't know the best stats to choose the first time they play, so it's going to suck when you get to 75 blm and upped VIT because you thought it would make you less squishy.

Way ahead of you, if we really MUST have zones then the FFXII zone lines are tops, but check the other threads (too tired to link you), go go no zones at all!

Nah, they say there's no exp, but there'll be exp don't you worry. It'll just be called something else or in a form that's different to the norm.

It will lead to stupidity and idiocy <_<

Then again, I'm always the first person to sacrifice myself for the learning process.

To the grave, obviously :P

And really, zones aren't necessary, provided the mobs have a certain distance they'll chase before they give up and go back to their spawn area...

You die and have to run to your body to get your items before another player finds it! I want to see more flashy effects when casting black magic :)

I'd like a Gobbie Warehouse 500... I'ts a freaking headache getting SAM MNK BLM PLD DRG THF WHM COR etc high lvl armor equipped and muled back and forth from one mule to another.
I'd like the Auction house stays the Same.
I'd like CRAFTING past level 90 impossible to gaugue.
I'd like Gil/Goodies drops from mobs remain unchanged.
If anybody wants game be easier or get more gil from mobs we might as well have FFXIV be set up in the Jungles of Colombia or in the Valleys of Chile, where everyone is a millionaire. And, when everyone is rich, then NOBODY is.
Let's keep it hard for everyone to make gil, so a million gil will be really worth it just like the good'ol greenback USD!
Ah... and also would like to see Foyle come up with new FFXIV Viewer and talented people come out with FFXIV .dats.

I like this idea. In every town, have a gob/moogle/big stand NPC that stores certain amounts of items for a reasonable amount of gil (low enough to afford, high enough to get money out of the system). And not full armor sets either...just extra storage for extra gil.

More storage space, more gil cost.

What if one of the zones was far underwater or a long swim? A galka monk would swim like a fish while taru blms struggle with the doggy paddle

LOL, I had to comment on that. I think it's gonna be more like FFII. The more you use magic, the higher MP. The more you use a particular spell, the higher that spell rank will be for higher tier i.e. Cure opens up ability to learn Cure II, Cure III opens up Raise and Cure IV. Almost like a branching growth system... hmm.. might be good for one of my RPGs XD

I would like to see the size of a greatsword on a Taru the same size as it would be on a Galka. I loved having huge weapons on PSU on tiny characters. I picked Taru for that same reason on XI, but once I saw that weapons would shrink on smaller characters...

I should've picked Galka here while I still could've. ><;

What are Gria?

Pirotess, I like that idea, I could definitely live with that as the levelling system.

Pwrlessgirl/ET, why bother with a gobbie bank? We have our own house, if I can carry 80 beds on my character, surely we can fit a few hundred sets of armour in our house? O_o

I think in an MMO, that'd be worse than grinding out xp. x.x

I agree with the mini map. Zone lines would also be nice especially when ur using oils/powders and lo and behold OH I ZONED what a waste. Speaking of powders/oils, how about making spells and other items like oils last for a "specific" amount of time? Example: oils for lower levels last X amount of time and as ur levels progress the time extends. Let's talk gear. Why does crafted gear have to be SOOOO overly priced? SE should cap the gear price. This may also help in gouging on items in the AH. I understand someone "crafted" it but come on really? OMG I had forgotten but I thought this would be EPIC to do so PLEASE let me know what you all think. OK. We ALL hate changing jobs and having to grab the right gear right? Time consuming. What if, SE took ur Mog house and enabled us to have like "job" closets? So all ur Whm gear is in 1 spot. All ur Drg gear in another. When you upgrade a piece remove the old, trade it or sell and add ur new piece. VOILA! Then changing would be soo much easier.

That's not a bad idea. Hell, just let us section off our storage in general.
