You are correct. I would just be auto attacking during the item use, which admittedly auto attacks from DRK are quite the problem.

It takes 1.5 seconds to use an echo drop. The alternative is to gain 1.5 seconds of tp and reamain silenced. Or kite, but if you read the rules, there's not much room to kite, and you've no magic to kite with. Also iirc the engagement distance in brenner is much smaller, so you wont be mitigating much if any damage.
They could also begin casting silence again while youre using the echo drop, but then they wouldnt be doing any damage either, and building your resistance at the same time. It wont take many echo drops before you begin to resist outright.
I now understand why I still have my gil and my phos belt +1, and will forever have them in regards to Kinetx, until the end of time.
