Especially as a host since you might be invaded countless times and can only buff your weapon a couple times etc Or hey: You're fighting a mob? Lets just *** kill you just after the mob dies so you cant engage...and then backstab the *** out of you with a glitch. I got myself stuck in tomb of giants cause the bonewheel skeletons are fawkin baws ^_^'

Awesome game. Waiting for DS2.
Have been lvling another char, because I want to build a Strength/Faith build that should result to higher damage oposed to my str/int build only down side is not having the dragon covenant. Other down side is not having access to sorcery spells are able to punish players using dark bead.
I'm starting a new char with a DEX build, any advices for the weapon? Currently i'm using the Uchigatana, I was wondering if the Nodachi or any other katanas were better (or any other weapons actually).
Also, I know the scythe might be good but I don't really like its moves and I'll probably die way too much to be able to fully use the Quelaag' sword. XD The Chaos Blade (katana weapon +10 then reinforced with Quelaag's Souls) is considered one of the best DEX weapons in the game. But it has the same Humanity deal as Quelaag's Furysword.
Painting Guardian Sword is really powerful. Uchigatana and the Iato (Nodachi to you perhaps?) are roughly equal. Uchigatana does ~10 more AR but most people prefer the Iato's moveset. Lifehunt Scythe is really powerful, but the bleed damage can be pretty nasty if you aren't careful. if you don't want to deal with Bleed build up, the Great Scythe is great too. I'm assuming you were talking about the Scythe, which is more of a halberd, in your post. Cerberus.Tikal said: » Ragnarok.Raenil said: » Painting Guardian Sword is really powerful. I checked, I wonder why they called that a "Washing pole" in English. >_> Completly unrelated, on a previous run I joined the chaos servant covenant to open the door of Izalith and save Solaire. Now I was wondering if I'll be able to open the door in my next playthroughs if I leave for another covenant or if I'm forced to keep the chaos servant. Today someone kept screwing around with the lift and as soon as you'd get on the lift and go down using cheap tricks like spamming WotG to make you fall off and die.. So he went down, so I get buffed with PW / DMB and jumped all way down and plunge attack him for 2.2k wish I frapsed that :(

also: "Dark Souls II" Closed Beta Launches on October 5 Players can start signing up on September 5 Namco Bandai wants to give Dark Souls fans an early taste of Dark Souls II, so the publisher is planning a closed beta test that's set to kick off on October 5 in North America and Europe. The beta—which will be available on PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network—promises to send players into "one of the most treacherous areas of the Dark Souls II world." This entirely new area boasts overwhelming enemy encounters, diabolical challenges, and developer FromSoftware's famous level of difficulty. More information about signing up will be available on the Dark Souls Facebook page starting September 5, so keep an eye on that if you're bold enough to die repeatedly. The full version of Dark Souls II hits PS3, Xbox 360, and PC next March. Bah, just gonna stream some more LoD.
I'm excited for the beta, I'm sure they have to adjust the difficulty as they update it, so it's probably going to be more difficult during beta than it will be opening day.

They actually made a facebook page for it. Sony President said he wanted more Demon's Souls during E3, I guess they are planning it out now. |
