I dont have a PC powerful enough to give me a satisfying experience with darksouls >_>'

You only have one chance to cut his tail : right at the beginning. When you enter the fight just ignore him and run to the crystal. Wait till he comes to you and when he starts his breath, go behind him. Meanwhile his breath should break his own crystal (Seath's a retard) and stun him a few seconds which should be enough to cut his tail.
If you fail that it's almost impossible to cut his tail afterward because he'll react too fast and start his smashing tail move every time you get close to his back.

On the topic of high level soul farming, what are the best spots? I pretty much just run through the game killing bosses, but now that it costs over 1million souls to level up, i think i might need a good soul farming spot.
I'm pretty sure I can still 1-shot the phalanxes so i'll ive that try. if not, there's always Power Within.
This is a shot in the dark, but could anyone help me cut off Seath's tail? He's easy but it's damn hard to cut off his tail with the weapons that I use. I'm SL50 and my Live ID is Ozymandis... using DSCfix of course. Oddly though I have seen zero summon signs since I starting using that add-on, where I'd get them before.

My characters are too high level to help, but when you enter the room with seath, go to the back of the room with the thing that makes him mortal, and wait for him to get close, before running away as he's charging his attack, so he breaks the thing himself, allowing you more of a chance to get behind him and sever the tail. I had troubles too, even with an upgraded lightning claymore. I actually made that weapon specially for the duke's archives. I couldn't do it in one shot, but I still just kept circling around him, getting behind him, and managed to sever the tail.
On the other hand, Priscilla's tail is friggin impossible to sever, though I was using an enchanted longsword at the time, dunno if I had the claymore at the time, if it would have made a difference.

I got it. I had to make a Lightning Claymore +10, but after that I got it on the second try, and then downed Seath. Loving the Moonlight Greatsword, though the damage is a little less than my Enchanted Balder Side Sword +5.
Heard you need int build to make it viable I might try it on my new sorc char when I get there.
I'm looking to finally pick this game up. I bought a really good gaming computer not too long ago so I was thinking about buying for PC. Are there still any major issues with the port to PC? Also my friend that wants to play with me uses Xbox. Can we play together or is that feature console exclusive? I tried google already but maybe I'm just blind.
No, you can't play together cross platform.
PC has mods that can make the game flow better. Or at least look better.
Multiplayer is a feasible way to play the game now with the changes they made to servers, but I'll warn you that multiplayer takes away from the experience of the game if you rely on it. I'd suggest playing the game once through solo (inviting players to help when you need it only), and do a second run through with a partner. That said, my first experience was that way, and I thoroughly enjoyed it... but Dark Souls isn't for everyone, and a partner may make it more tolerable, or might be a stronger experience because you'd be experiencing the beautiful, intricate game together for the first time (Unless your friend has beaten it before).
