The Beast Within -- A Guide to Blue Mage
I'm asking what damage others get with those spells on the Orc Ambuscade. That is why I didn't post anything about me. I am looking for info on what others are doing numbers wise.
Thought I saved some screenshots, but I guess not. Been a while, but my damage was around ~50k with Idris Malaise.

naegling/maxentius for when you're meleeing and nuking (salvage, einherjar etc).
colada makes a good offhand for pure melee and don't neglect thiburon for tp bonus when acc is good. Offline

Since there are no Plovid or Macuil in Skirmish to learn the other two spells from, that's not a viable method for those two. But that does take a lot longer to deal with Skirmish in the hopes that a Balamor will pop, versus just spamming the Vagary boss-only runs until you get the spell. Offline

I can confirm you can learn spells from the vagary boss fights. Learned the last one there and it was tearing gust. I dont know how to post a pic here else i would if peeps want evidence :)

When would you even use those Vagary boss spells and is Analric +1 still BIS solo nuke cleaving? I just upgraded from nq and it should be a massive boost with the +50 mab (I think). Just doesn’t “feel” massively different from before. Also what are people nuking in weapon wise? I’ve been using R15 Tizona and Raja rod. I could get Maxentimus or whatever just didn’t know if it was worth it.
Max/Kaja rod is the best combo for nuking, shouldn't be using Tizona at all. Even an augmented nibiru cudgel would be better until you can get both ambu clubs done. Also yes, the almaric is still the best set.
Since we're on the topic of nuking, opinions on Jhakri+2 legs vs Relic+3?
Relic has +15 mab, higher stats minus INT. Jhakri has +12 INT, lower stats. The spells I use on BLU are Entomb, Spectral Floe, Tenebral Crush, Anvil Lightning, Subduction. For some of these Relic+3 should be better, but for stuff like Spectral Flow I dunno... I'm still leaning towards Relic though if anything for the better defensive stats. So, more opinions please? I am going to assume its from the VIT and MAB combined. So always just look at the spell you want to cast and its modifiers. The metamorph testing showing heavy INT to outweigh MAB on basically all spells had me curious to test. Yeah if I recall Spectral Floe is 80% INT, Jhakri might win there but I'm still leaning towards Relic because of the defensive stats.
May I ask why you are nuking in either one? Almaric +1 blows both of them out of the water.
Maybe a macc set to garantee status effect.

i wouldn't go full almaric +1 for AoEing. fooder will mostly die in one shot and on more dangerous targets like dyna D or apex cleaving the extra macc of jhakri set becomes more valuable cause you want the spell effects to land.

Has anyone compared Zoar Subligar +1 (R15) vs Samnuha Tights (Max) for TP sets?

With capped gear haste and erratic flutter(no other magic haste) you need 31/32% DW on gear to cap delay if you throw Might Guard in there(flutter + MG = capped magic haste) you only need 11 DW from gear.
