Coruscanti Testing
It's just dwarfed by its own expectations of having an ODD.
This is infuriating.
Repeating with 501 attack vs EM bluffs, I'm not getting anything anomalous whatsoever, as far as I can tell. Or maybe I am, the distribution looks a little weird.
Maybe you're attack-capped? If it modifies your attack, then by being capped there'd be no anomalies.
try with defender? =o

There are 3 possibilities:
1.) Saber Dance has a small chance to give the attack boost we theorized (my repeat test is with 0% double attack, so no saber dance) 2.) ODSD only works on Double/Triple Attacks 3.) ODSD doesn't function on EM or below. I aborted this test at 482 attacks because I saw nothing unusual. (I have CAB+5 from body) I have capped fSTR either way, and +10 attack wouldn't produce the variance that we saw.
1 & 3 can be answered if you re-do the first test without Saber Dance.
2 could be tested with DA/TA atmas. Also 4.) It may not function if Attack < Defense
That seems more farfetched. Does anything in FF work under a rule like that?
I don't have this dagger (and probably won't get it with my luck) but i find it fascinating that there are those who really break stuff down so that players can understand how some of this games mysterious actually work....
Although I don't have this dagger I appreciate the time and effort it took into researching this weapon. There's obviously more to research, as I can't get it to work today.
I didn't run it for very long, but doesn't seem to be doing anything interesting to T with 501 attack. Retrying with saber dance up. Edit: 501 Attack, Coruscanti, EM Bluffalo, 0% DA, No Saber Dance Occasionally trolls the hell out of FFXI's math community.
I'm getting anomalies with Saber Dance up.
I need someone to test Saber Dance with a different dagger. I seem to remember you saying you don't have Lux Pugio. That'd be a good compare and contrast since it doesn't have the ODSD, but is nearly identical.
Stopped as soon as I saw weird ***:

"Occasionally increases attack %, increase crit rate, double attacks, and any other random ***we can find"
Edit: Beat, damn it! Further testing will have to wait until after ls event tonight or until someone else tests saber dance with another dagger for me!
Clearly it only works on Thunders-day or During Thunder Weather, Or at Night time.
I'm pulling from everywhere, Thunder(its Aura) and Star Wars(Coruscant) None of my tests occurred during Thundersday or Thunder Weather.
Maybe you have to be on it's planet of origin for it to function, or you have be on jedi...
