Back then probably when i asked old LS mates to farm seals/stones in abyssea to upgrade to +1/+2. Back then the only way was bringing someone BLM, someone THF, maybe a NIN for red procs, then spent some time trying to proc it. Unlocking zones to reach Shinryu was quite fun experience too. Second moment for me was setting up LS mates to do Delve Tojil. Never got a win at that time, but if i had im sure it would be the greatest moment in my FFXI life. But sometimes things arent meant to be, we are just not ready yet. Unfortunelly those times will never come back.


Probably when i get that greatest long term goal. Probably my first delve win, against shark. Back then i was in assuran and joined another group to do it. It was a messed fight where leader pull out the win in the end.

Second moment its i guess when i first cleared aeonic run with mules and a mate. It was a very long road setting all mules ready for that, like gearing, getting nirvs, idris, omen gear, etc. It was quite some work but when everything work out in the end, everything is worth.



I dont feel like there is any long term goal like i had in the past. I guess i still need dynamis div wave 3 clears but i never feel like setting up for that.

Currently my goals are reaching Bumba, getting the lv30 armor, clearing basement bosses in Sortie. But, as they are quite recent goals to me, they didnt got big like the ones i mentioned before.

You reminded of some old thrills and joy actually.
I think the things that stand out, even for a hardcore old HNM guy, were Divine Might win, getting sky access, getting sea access, first haidate drop. some of the smaller thrills were getting my cross counter and ebow drop after weeks of camping shadows and the hilariously entertaining drama in those feiyin alleys. Mpking other afk campers. Serket MPKs. Getting creative with CC to mpk rival LS's on the way to dragon's aery.
I wasn't a shady person the game was just shady and you had to learn how to hit back.
MPK was my go-to tool to hit back.

is there an easy way to check what mythic weapon im currently working on ?

Trade another vigil weapon to abquhbah and it'll tell you what he's already holding. Just make sure you don't abandon your progress.

I have this weird issues where one of my screens is locking up. BUT, the account is not DCing. The locked up screen's account is still in game like nothing is wrong, I can even cast buffs on it etc. Its like the game is working fine but the screen is completely locked up.

Any ideas?

Do all 4 Dyna divergence wave 3 bosses have the same stats? (same hp, same def, same eva)

Use less addons that can cause movement changes like fast follow, at a guess.

Reclimbing is a lot of seg necessary what will put me behind a big time gate.

But rereading the Odyssey page plus answers Ive received before, is viable this following approach?

Instead of doing the hard way and farm seg -> pop NMs till the final boss in a lv before restarting, can I simply take 3 T1 to max veng level, and from that point on, having them as my seg source for subsequent runs?

About the prizes... i admit i feel it was more interesting back few years.

Nowaday the prizes seems like some time saving.

A common strategy is to "charge" an amplifier by doing a T1 at V25 3 times in a row. Then after this, you can do a separate fight of the NM you want RP on (say, Bumba) on whatever difficulty you have access to.

This still requires you to do "the climb" at least one more time, to access V5 for the NM of your choice.

If you do all T1, T2, and T3 at V5, then you will be able to pop Bumba V5 and use the strategy laid out above (if you can kill V5, V10, V15, and V20 of any T1 NM). This is a great way to solo but, as you point out, takes a decent chunk of segments to get set up. there is no way to skip this other than paying someone (or asking a friend) every time you want to enter the Bumba fight.

If I'm understanding correctly, you're asking if doing a charged amplifier run with 3 v25's will yield a sustainable amount of segments? The answer to that is yes, you barely come out ahead if you do a 3x v25 charge and then spend 3 amplifiers on the subsequent run. I'm not sure if that's what you are asking though.

Adding some math to that, if you do 5% to 3 NMs (using an ampliier each time) on a charged v25 x3 amplifier, you'll get 9341 on the 1st NM (29+1164x2 +1164*6) and 2357 for the other 2 NMs (29+1164x2) for a total of 14,055 RP. 3 Moglophone II and 3 amplifiers cost 13,500 RP so you come out ahead about 500 segments if you were to convert the RP back into segments. However, you can see that this isn't enough to really fund additional clears or anything like that. And of course you're going to want RP on these gears as well.

Yes, but you gain like 900 segs per 3 runs of V25 if you use an amp and convert back to segs on all of them. Cost of KIs, plus cost of amps.

You can certainly not do all the T1-T2-T3 climb and only do T1 up to v25, then RP on like V5 T3 or whatever by charging with 3x T1 V25. That costs less segs than doing the whole climb and RP is better than doing V15 T3.

Do you play with a bordered window? If so: you might be accidentally clicking on the border sometimes and adjusting the window size by a tiny imperceptible amount, which is one potential explanation for the behavior you're describing.

Returning the window to default size (right clicking the top and hitting "Default Window Size") fixes it for me, not sure if newer versions of windows work differently though!

i was having/still have the same issue sometimes.
How long are you giving it before you force close the windower instance?
I was force shutting it down after about 10-20 seconds. For whatever reason I left it alone for about 60-90 seconds once and it unfroze and the screen came back/started animating again.
Now when it happens I just leave it alone and 90% of the time it catches up/unfreezes.
