Keep in mind Shoha has a massive attack boost, which will possibly (almost likely) devalue attack in your ws sets, alongside the massive 100% str mod.
I can throw it in Kin's spreadsheet later if he has it updated if I can be bothered, but I'd think atheling would be worse than Unkai on average. This is through kines spreadsheet and parsing, atheling wins, marginally So if sea gorgets are the best neck for Shoha, I guess the 2m I just spent on a Justiciar's torque was a waste?

If it is so marginal, then screw the unkai back honestly. I'll still check it later. Bismarck.Elanabelle

Although it may be a solid neck item for Tachi:Fudo and Tachi: Kaiten. Well, I just finished Masamune 85, but considering that I only play on Xbox, I don't think I want to mess with extra macros to have a different WS set for Fudo if Shoha will just destroy it in damage.
So probably gonna sell the Justiciar's. Keep in mind that if you're using Masamune, Shoha at 100% TP is probably have virtually no difference on mob you can cap attack your Fudo.
not sure if anyone has asked yet, but has anyone mathed out the boost to overwelm on relic domaru +2?

So Fudo is the same as Shoha on weaker mobs (non-VW)? I'm only 2/5 and haven't really used it. Unfortunately, it will take many hours of testing. I'll post here when I find out the boost on it. ps kudos to all u testers, helping lazy *** like myself figure ***out lol. Haven't played Sam in a while. Is it worth capping Shoha for higher defense mobs (new VW mobs) if you have 90 Masa? Open with 300 Fudo then ride the rest with Shohas? Thinking about dusting off Sam and having some fun after they nerf smite/ukko.
Bahamut.Zellc said: » got to play on sam in vw today. been following this thread for some time and wanted to post some screenshot of fudo and shoha on a mob that i guess, kinda matters. had some pics from 6 pil fights, but i guess it didnt save or something idk. but all these are from kaggen. here is like 13 ss. some side notes: most of these were done with 4/5 shoha merits. ended up getting my last 19 merits in 6 pil and 6 kaggen fights. my shoha set is lacking, im missing gorget and belt. plan on getting them after this post. dunno if beir+1 is better. either way couldnt buy it for 800k so i said *** it. spent the rest on heavy metal plates. also im using twilight helm and no tp bonus moonshade earring. my set does need a lot of work. and i know this lol. that said, shoha is rather impressive. but i wouldnt go throwing you masamune away. 300 tp aftermath ride is well worth it on tp phase. ans fudo isnt even that bad. i did spam shoha a lot, but fudo wasnt that far behind. though with the right gear i believe the scale will tilt to shoha. they are good ws's. and masa is still a good weapon. edit: on the second to last kaggen i got mekira meikogai! is what i posted a few pages back. From my findings--without parse or anything--Fudo seems to be better than Shoha on mobs with little to no defense. EP Dynamis mobs that have low defense or high evasion, Fudo (I was disappointed far too much by one of Shoha's attacks missing on flies/hippogryphs). Abyssea XP mobs such as Abyssobugards, Fudo (at least using VV/RR/GC).
All others, SHOHA. If in doubt, use Shoha. Crab mob? SHOHA. Voidwatch zerg: lay down dat lv. 3 Aftermath, then Shoha spam. Only thing I hate is the chance to miss on one hit of Shoha, as it's very apparent when that happens. Guess it's time to break out the gorget/belt. D: Hi guys, this is the set im using atm
It seems so be doing consistent 2>2.2k average dmg on T6 Jeunos (parsed) Just wondered if theres anything i can improve the build with, the ogi legs apparently add +3%ws dmg so started using these over hachi. Would the new avant+1 be better for sho or fudo? Any advice would be welcome, thanks in advance. This is my tp set also, 5hits w/ the ws build i use and has alot more str/atk than af3+2body/zelus combo could cap out haste w/ aces feet and the stp+3 back but at a loss of 19atk and 11acc, so not sure if its worth it 2bh is there any place for the prosilo belt or would the da- be more detrimental?

Is thunder gorget and thunder belt aligned with this?
Fenrir.Camaroz said: » is there any place for the prosilo belt or would the da- be more detrimental? The att isn't doing much and the STR is equal to bier+1 so nope there is no use. Bismarck.Elanabelle

cosmolaris said: » Is thunder gorget and thunder belt aligned with this? Yes. Tachi:Shoha can use Breeze or Thunder Gorget/Belt. Its primary skillchain attribute is Fragmentation. I think that's something that many of you using Masamune might be missing. Tachi:Shoha fills the "missing link" that used to be in a SAM's Skillchain palate. Spamming only Tachi:Shoha or only Tachi:Fudo is limiting your potential, in my opinion, unless you're in a group-zerg situation. Especially if you're working with another SAM in your party/alliance. Take 2 SAMs with 300% TP. Let's call them "Jim" and ... oh, how about "Tanaka": Jim Sekkanoki Jim Tachi:Kasha (200% TP remain) Tanaka Sekkanoki Tanaka Sengikori Tanaka Tachi:Shoha >> Light (200% TP remain) Jim Hagakure Jim Meditate Jim Tachi:Fudo >> Double Light (~40% TP remain, Meditate rising) Tanaka Hagakure Tanaka Meditate Tanaka Tachi:Kasha (~40% TP remain, Meditate rising) Jim Sengikori Jim Tachi:Shoha >> Light Tanaka Tachi:Fudo >> Double Light Granted this takes some coordination, but shouldn't be difficult for experienced SAMs. Those Sengikori-boosted Double Light renkei bonuses could be gigantic. |
