[Dev] Final Limit Break Quest
It really isn't an easy answer. I think that new Nyzul could actually be difficult if done right, but that is no competition.
I miss that fire of competition. The wait and the cheating/botting w/e you want to call it was just lame. I don't know a solution to the problem now. It seems like it may be too big of a problem to solve and just have to keep patching the wound until it can't be managed any longer. looking forward to seeing if SE releases any statement over their change in the morning.

I delighted in claiming over bot using LS's. DA was just dumb. However, DI/SW model at least leveled the playing field somewhat. As much as I would savor Nyzul 2.0 being a true challenge the majority of the player base would rage if they didn't have instant access to what ever shinies it's going to drop. I think the only way we'll ever get a real challenge again is for the two playing paths to diverge. SE needs to make one content path for the casual community, and one for the hard core. Voidwatch isn't cutting it. Only thing truly hard in VW is actually getting a rare drop instead of a log. I'm pretty sure it's going to be floors 101-200, they will already have to have access to 100 if I'm correct.
Or they are just going to replace everything from 1-100 and make it lame. It might not be lame but the idea is just lame when they could add more floors. Personally want more floors :\ Also, the only way that would be able to work is if the rewards on each side were equal. Even at the end. People would cry and whine til it was changed and SE wouldn't want to mess with that. Would like to see more challenges. Like... an army of behemoths spawn and attack your group. yea, that sounds like fun for me! Speaking of behemoth I would like to see a new version soon where it can't be kited around. Would probably only fit VW but not sure.
I wouldn't expect Nyzul to be that easy, upgrading from base to +5 is prolly gonna take a while. That said, the "hardcore community" isn't large enough to warrant catering to at this point of the games life cycle. Thats just the way it is.
I personally could care less about the difficulty of the 99 level cap, if its hard, ok, if its not, whatever. I'm looking forward to the new nyzul and other non-proc content. Not because of how difficult it may or may not be, but because its finally going to filter out the sense of "jobism" that has overcome the community, and people will be allowed to have fun again. Yea I'm not really concerned about the difficulty all that much, I like what is coming for new content so it will be fine for me atm.
The only content I really am expecting to be challenging are the new Wyrms SE have announced.
So far they have only shown what Light might look like, but I really want to see those. Not sure where they would be able to spawn... Probably won't be random like the other wyrms and be a pop for some event. Even if it is that then it will be okay I guess. I'm glad we get to fight the rest finally. To be honest, I'd rather just turn in my 20 merits, some *** item that I can get before the update, log in, turn it in, and get on with my life.

I dont have faith in SE being able to execute this level cap fight properly, so yeah, I would rather just get it over with as fast as the previous caps have been. They can even throw in a poop mage for all I care.

From what translators make out, there will be more than one item now, and split over the zone/s with a high drop rate from high-level monsters.
Random and doesn't seem right: You don't need to keep getting items, and can spend merits(?) if you lose to retry. (That doesn't seem right, but it seems the only thing multiple translators have in common) Yea, I'm not sure why there are 2 items now

That would be interesting There's an item needed to enter the BC, and an optional "weakening" item that presumably works in the same way as a lot of the CoP mission items worked (limits boss TP moves, etc). The BC is designed to be beaten by 6 people without the item, but can be done with less with the item. And the item takes time to prepare making, whereas without it you can enter immediately.
Should you fail the BC, the BC entry item won't be needed again, instead it'll probably cost merit points to reenter (or possibly seals, but they're thinking merits). |
