Square Enix launches "Winter of RPGs" campaign on
5 and 6 are both great. 5 gets very hard, especially in the latter parts of the game whereas 6 is pretty balanced throughout with odd difficulty spikes.

FF6 is amazing, easily one of the 3 best FF's in the series. FF5 is good, I like how they let you change jobs and subjob abilities(seems to be where FFXI got this game mechanic).
I already own 3 versions of FF6, so I'm not worried about this dlc.

It was my least favorite of the entire series. Which is odd because i adore Final Fantasy Tactics (one of my favorite games ever)

FF5 is under-rated imo, mostly because FF4, 6, and 7 were so highly popular.
If you temper your expectations a bit, you'll enjoy FF5. If you expect great things, it might be a let-down.
One of the big things about 5 I've heard a lot of people say they didn't like(I as well) is the static party; in most of the other FF games around that time, you picked up new party members, lost others along the way, things stayed fresh. In FF5, you get 4 characters who really don't fit together in the first place, and for the most part you're stuck with them. I never finished 5, so I don't know if you possibly get some other party member later in the game or anything.
1 new member by the end, you end up with more women than usual.

No, but there was a third party attempt to remake Chrono Trigger in full 3D, but their attempts to keep it underground ultimately failed and they inevitably got a cease and desist notice from SE.
A shame too, it looked very well done for what they had done so far.

I tried like dozen times to get into it, or at least play it for a decent amount of time. Usually got bored, put it down and went back to another game. ><
I had played the Translated SNES version and the Anthology version of FF5 and didn't really like either of them, but that was years prior to the GBA version of FF5, I've played through it a few times, and have actually enjoyed it pretty well. I LOVED how they did the Job System in 5, and saw how it inspired what came in XI. I'd say easily FF5 is in my top 5 in terms of FFs played
Also FF6 avatars are bad and you should feel bad.

shoulda put those guys on the payroll....
FF6 on the GBA was great. I love both games for diff reasons. 5 had a great battle / job system. 6 had a great story and i love the characters.

What time does the PS store update usually?
I remember when i first played FF6, It took me forever to figure out where that Moogle Charm was lol
i still have the disks for these from when they were released for playstation. have them ripped and converted to psp format so i can play them anytime. wry they not give us III?

As much as I like the idea of old games being available, its not like they have not been re-releasing them constantly for the last 10 years. S-E keeps falling back on its old successes to the the point where I'm doubting they have the creative spunk to reach for the new modern JRPG gold.
