Idk how much space you have and how often you'll be fishing, but with 30 minnows I get around 40-near70 haks. Lowest with 30 minnows so far is 29, but that's just with super bad line breaks. <_<

I typically have 3 stacks of meatballs per trip out there and i easily cap out 210~ cave with about 30-40 left over in the 3rd stack.

Pretty much the same for me. There are days that it taps into the forth stack of meatballs, but not normally.
is there any fish you skill 90+ without a LuShang? I know Nashmaufish was lv 99 (the ptygaofgkwha idk its name) and dont break composite. But it seems kinda... unrewarding with skillups and dunno if there is better fish for skillups. I fished.. like 60-70 fish past days (didnt count :x) and got 1 0.1 seems kinda... few?
I just restarted on fishing after like 3-4 years break and chances are high i get bored in 2 weeks again so i would wait with buying a new lu Shang now w.

You'll need a composite rod and a ton of meatballs. They cap at 108 but they won't break the rod itself. The line my break though but you will still get skillups.

thx! wouldnt it be better to use minnow or sinking minnow? Or i'll break the line often that its not worth the inv space for them?
I used NQ minnow had no issues.
Come to think of it my mule never broke a line.. so yeah a lure would work afterall. It's been a long long time since I was skilling to 100 otherwise lol.
Those fish were perfect though. Try to go with as empty as inventory and sacks as possible (They don't stack) because they NPC for like 900~ per fish. A full day would net you like 170,000g if you capped out.

ok i couldnt catch a single one lol, had 4 minnows to try it out (composite rod) and broke line 4 times... but atleast i got 1 skillup haha. So i might try it again tomorrow with meatballs.. or go back to nashmau
I see your fishing is 91, might as well invest in an ebisu at this point and forget about re-buying lu shang
maybe.. but knowing my luck i break/linesnap my way to dunno.. skill 108 (when wiki is right about the cap) before i get a ebisu haha (while just buying liks and Gugru)

597,930gil on Haks. and 76,000 on minnows if they were 2k which they really won't be? So thats still like a 521k profit. C:

Would get smock next & if you can find a ferry sure.. on Derperus you won't find SM under 3.5k so might be an idea to stock up on slice of bluetail

Is it possible to go from Lv. 0-78 without a lu shangs? I know that shall shell/istiridye with halcyon will cap to 53, can I just skip lu shangs altogether and just get ebisu? (asking for a mule as I dont wanna buy lu shangs again)
