I think Cave Cherax are hands down the best fish to skillup on post 100. Almost every night I fish them it nets me an entire level when I catch around 150 for the night. Currently sitting at 108 almost 109 (lost exact 0.1 count). Also 59,000/100,000 toward apron and It's driving me nuts especially since we hit the amateur stretch for a few days of 2k-3k items.

My second account mule has managed to hit 43 as well and I got her started on GP as well.

On the up side I have made a gross amount of money from fishing sales the during past week. I am 100% positive that I will be getting my mule an Ebisu as well.

Try turning it in "legit" if you know what I mean. Also, smash a bunch of keys during the trading process. I agree random is random, but hey I'm crazy, and I like to think holding the enter key down when he's cutting it increases my odds (^-^)v

Most important of all though, pretend you don't care about the item when trading. SE is watching you and if they see anger on your face they won't give you your item. Only tell Zaldon to suck a bag of tarus after you get your item. I know this because of extensive eyeballing when turning in ebisu fish. Went 1/10 on liks when I was cleaning my room, and got my gugru item while on the phone.

I'm curious about something and have been wondering something dealing with fishing.

Is there a certain lure that will only attract a certain fish weight, and i'm only talking about legendary fish like mola mola's. Or is the weight of the fish just vary on the ones you pull up??

Pretty sure fish weight/length are randomly generated and the lure you use won't affect it

Does 110 with torque and all that make a drastic difference on line breaks with Haks? Seems I get just as many breaks as I do catches at 104+4, wondering if this is just bad luck. Went 6 line breaks in a row last night at one point.

not exactly what I'm running statistics on atm but i can tell you this:
Geared with ebisu + smock +wader (total +3 skill).
It show no real difference between 110 and 100 fishing skill in break. rate on hak's it has around 6% pull up rate off all line cast and jsut below 10% bites on all cast.
So around 1/3 haks you get on the hook snaps the lines

I'm doing some bait statistic atm but will latter focus on the noddy/puffing ring combo so see if they are actually usefull on hak fishing.

I've documented this on the wiki already.

Rings give a 5% increase in bite rate for Hakuryu.

So has anyone else encountered hitting the "fish cap" before catching 200 fish since after the update? Twice now I've stopped at 47 catches and 63 catches respectively. Anyone else having this issue?

That happened to me a couple weeks before the update. I caught 23 fish, ran to Selbina to give them to someone, ran back to catch more and I was capped out for the day.

So yesterday I was able to catch 34 fish before completely being done for the day. It seems to be related to fatigue. Once I max out fatigue I can't fish for the day anymore. Another person in my LS caught 68 Haks and was done. Is anyone else at all having this issue? I'm currently fishing right now and waiting to see when I hit the "fish limit." This is all post the September update too. I'll report back in a few hours with my findings.

I could be wrong, but I think the "fish limit" is different depending on fish (at least, that's what I remember hearing).

Consider it as, "You can fish 200KG of fish" and each fish has different weights.

That said, I could've just been misinformed and it's a static 200/day limit. On a related note, I've had the same problem before :D though except for a few days of Cherax's I've not fished in about 8 months.

Fish limit is 200(sans ebisu), weight isn't a factor.

someone runs into this every couple months or so and then realizes eventually they were just getting a buncha didnt catch anything messages in a row and giving up. you could get 18 no catches in a row on cave cheraxes np and then get another bite

are you getting any items on your line? any monsters? then u havent hit your fish cap for the day yet. if u have 50 no catches in a row then come talk to me

have you counted your fish? have you been autokilling with 0 delay? have you tried to go catch a moat carp in town?

Although it's pretty random, what is the breakdown of averages regarding CC -> Dwarf Pugil -> Matsya?

It seems like I go 1/4 to 1/5 on Dwarf Pugils to CC.

How about Dwarfs to Matsya? 1/10? (average)

Does fishing level matter at all for the inside the belly quest? I am 26+4 so I can get the quest. But just wanted to make sure I can still expect to get a cape (maybe possible, kinda, one day, perhaps?) I am 0/25 atm. Slowing my buying down to only buy at 400k, but just want to know I am not wasting my time andI should get a actual level of 30 before continuing.

As long as you can do the quest you can receive any item inside the belly offers.

I've been hearing people use sardine paste for haks. Does anyone have the stats on the bite rate with the Paste versus the minnow/s. minnows.

i guarantee no one has those numbers. most likely static probability and if paste has same number of possible targets, bite rate will be same.
