Have your Ebisu rod yet? Bahamut.Serj said: » Giant Donko for GP fish and fishing contest fish. Won't use the ring very much if I win, but mainly doing this for a friend. Have to get lucky though, fished up 100 donkos last time it was them and placed 32nd on the heaviest one I got. Not worth fishing up that many though. Offline

All along the north side of Qufim I keep getting the "you can't fish here" message. Eh?! I'm reading guides and they say the cliffs right around G-6 is a good place, but I can't fish there. Did they change it or something?

Yeah I was standing right inside of "Northwest Seaside" trying to fish at multiple locations getting that message. Weird. Oh well, I'm just rocking it in Lower Jeuno now.
hmmm, sometimes if your not facing the correct direction it won't give you the option to fish. Unless you modded quifim it should work properly D:
I do H-6, but you have to move around a bit to be able to fish.

It's awful, only time I won a fishing contest was Ryugu Titan, and that was so horribly awful to do that I never want to fish them again without Ebisu. Offline

11>56 seems awfully... aggressive. I'll give it a shot though.

ive been fishing hakuryu with sinking minnows but i see others use minnows. is this because minnows is cheaper or is bite rate better on minnow vs sinking minnow? i normally go out with 45~ lures and come out with about ~80 fishes. also i managed to get a keen angler on it once lol i was like OH YEA but then line snapped :( lol. thinking of using 15k gp for stall and then do smock or should i just do smock and then stall and rest. the way i see it get quickest skill items in mog except between waders and smock id save til i got smock for less items on hook(damn you arrow wood)

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Hakuryu I wrote these from scratch and has my own personal averages in the data. It should help you out on the debate between the two lures. Although disregarding my data, you can always find out what is the better lure by comparing what lure catches what: Although great blue hasn't been updated since 2008 it serves it purpose here: Minnow: http://www.great-blue.jp/?aid=047&bid=020&lng=en Cone Calamary + Bluetail + Gigant Squid + Hakuryu Sinking Minnow: http://www.great-blue.jp/?aid=047&bid=021&lng=en Black Sole + Hakuryu As you can see there is a clear advantage simply because of fish targeting. If you use the Noddy Ring and Puffin Ring together you'll have an even greater advantage because your raising the bite rate of large fish (Hakuryu) creating less chances for black sole. If you did that with minnow it would also increase the bite rate of giant squid. About GP items I personally did: Waders > ebisu KI > Apron > Stall Now I'm getting the 200k gp item, then I'll get the fish net then the map last. |
