I took 3 stacks and got around 50. I bought around 20. Zaldon proceeded to take the cape out of about three fish, hide it, and give it to his friends later that day.

Cave Cherax can (or at least could) break a Lu Shang's but it is (was) extremely unlikely. I only ever had mine break once in the at least 700-900 pre-Ebisu catches.
Why SE made it so the planets had to be aligned for one to snap the Lu I don't know but I remained grateful for it and kept going 'til 100 on them.
its just because they are crustaceans like armored pisces (and shall shells) and act different from normal fish

That's a decent sample. and kinda matches what i noticed as well with a lower sample.
yeah today i went cought 5 off 34 baits yesterday bad day 48 baits 2 matsya day b4 was 4 matsya 38 bait day b4 that 4 matsya 35 bait
i went ahead and arithmeticed that for you - about 10.5 per bait.

my mule is 100 smithing
if i were to get 0.1 skill up on every single synth to 110 thats min120 synths 500k-1m+ per synth so ill avrage it out to 80mil ish now normally it takes about 12ish synths to get 0.1x1 so if avrageing 80m for every synth to get a skill up with cape/food it wont happen i know itll b more like 110mish but but if im paying for 12 synths and only getting 0.1 then id b spending 80mx12 thats 960M just to hit 110 skill id rather go for the cape lol

yeah but that cape is broken idk if youve seen the ss going around BG ive seen ppl do 12 synths and go from 102-103.2
