If you catch fish too fast the server might flag you forcing you to wait 24 hours or jp midnight, I'm not really sure the time required to wait when you're flagged.
Each fish have a certain limit before you get flagged, and on some fish it's probably impossible to get flagged.
Legit players can also be flagged if they are lucky enough, it's not limited to just players who bot/hack.

Finally got both saber shoot 1/201 and opal silk 1/41 for my mule. So much nicer the 2nd time around after 1/751 gugs. Just need the gp for him, haha!

It's rare but I have seen the message on a hak on my 100 fishing mule who just got ebisu. Never seen one of my guys lose a fish to a line break on a critical bite like that. I'd like to say i see the message more on my main with fisher's rope, but nope, not really.

It's barely worth it with Lu shang, so I wouldn't think you'd have any chance without either that or Ebisu...

I have fished gugs with Lu and I can say it's ***lol. Breaks my rod about 1/3 - 1/4 of the time now factor that in w/ the catch rate and the batch count is pretty low ;/ I would definitely recommend having a WW mule or have WW up yourself to fix Lu on the go. Fixing it via quest is gonna burn ya out XD

If you can get your woodworking to 70, you can repair lushangs, might take an entire stack of light crystals, but you can do it. I leveled woodworking on lushangs only from 70-74 lol
im considering doin just that just take 10 stacks of light clusters with me and do ***the pigheaded way because i dont want to buy an ebisu also deciding that cave cherax is gonna be my 92-100 fish to prep for matsya spammage

yeah doin it for sheer multipurpose reasons and i cant even fish for gugru/lik until 30k more gp so i should be 100 off cherax at that time
@102 Fishing, impossible for me to catch Gugs only have ~17 seconds. Liks can do though with low success (line breaks, rod breaks).

actually getting quite good skillups on cherax so far yesterday 3 full levels 89-92 and these things challenge me hardcore

at least i've gone from 100.5ish to 105.4 since i started on cherax. i kinda like that they added this, gave me a reason to use my ebisu again. never cared for haks

EDIT ok I cant complain got 6 today traded them in and got the cape, so I went total 1/16

yea, catching all items. only losing bait to jellyfish and monsters. monsters could be avoided but don't really feel like bringing my mule there to hold them

I manage to reel in 1 matsya per 10 dwarf pugils. majority being line breaks or cobalts
Well hopefully I'll be ready to hit matsya soon too. Just hit 108 on cave cherax, saving up some dwarf pugils, and went 1/40 on Lik today too :). 0/215 on gugs right now so hopefully soon!
So whats the consensus seem to be on this skillup cape droprate anyway? I see alot of 1/6 and 1/10 and 1/40 which seems very reasonable. Anyone had any really terrible luck on it so far?
