Greever, since you have ebisu and you're above level 90 you should really try out Hakuryu.
Your skillups might not be outstanding but you'll be making a lot of gil although Dameion went from 90-93 in a few hours fishing them.
10.5k each fish NPC price.
Use sinking minnows /o/ 30-35 should be enough for 4-6 hours. Expect 1.5 fish per lure really and maybe reeling in ~10 an hour. If you can sell Lik/Gugs fast to a buyer then that would beat Hakuryu, but when you don't Hakuryu is a great source of gil.

well...after frustratingly trying to catch gugru's...i havent even landed 1 catch. Im assuming that is because i dont have the stamina rings.
will i be able to catch hak's w/o the rings...cause looking through wiki it seems that ill have to do alot of ***just to get those rings

thats where i got them from...i know usually their like 500-600 gil. and at that i only got a total of 16 lures. But meh atleast ill actually be able to catch something with my ebisu

I really really hope you get yours before you get as high as me lol I'm losing hope!
I am not looking forward to getting the Ebisu items -_- Levelling woodworking specifically for the task. At least I don't need those annoying rings.

I know wiki says that anyone can participate, but I'd rather be sure before I spend extra time getting a second fish for my bf... it doesn't matter what skill level you are, anyone can participate in fish ranking?

How long does it usually take to reel in a Gugrusaurus for you guys that have an Ebisu rod? I'm here struggling with my Lu Shang rod and Albatross ring, while this guy here can reel it in 10-15s with no rings...
well well well, not a bad run today lol.
i was able to catch 51 hak's with only 17 lures and about 5 hours of fishing. and on top of that i got .2 skill!

I actually tried gugru's for the firs time today with my ebisu (i never fished them before with my lu's)with no rings, and couldent even pull up 1 w/o any rings.
Im lvl 97 with +3 skill in gear (i always forget to switch out my crimson legs lol).

Bah he's only 16. I'll just give him a crappy fish to try out, I guess.
edit- gave him a crappy weight to turn in and he was able to at 16 fishing... looks like more time in the tree for meh

Depends if it decides to be an ***. I pulled in 2 today with 1 getting away. That was during a pirate attack though, since I was going after Ryugu.
Will try them out on the WG boat later.
